| Sword Art Online may not be the most consistent work, but there are times where it hits it out of the park such as this episode. Eugeo seduced by the Admin is one of the most thematically satisfying story points I've seen in anime in a long time. The main reason it works so well is because it shows Eugeo to be the weak person he has always been. Eugeo's success has been either directly or indirectly the result of Kirito's actions. He would still be chopping a tree if Kirito wasn't there, and he would have failed at each step of this adventure if Kirito wasn't there. There reverse isn't true. Eugeo has always been in the orbit of the much stronger willed Kirito, so it makes perfect sense he would be plucked and put into the orbit of the much stronger willed villain of Admin. This episode also establishes Admin as what appears to be the best villain so far in Sword Art Online. She is unfettered femininity, and this episode shows how powerful and effective it is. |

| So does every human have this weird eye? If that's so why did Rath do it since what they wanted was for the inhabitants of the Underworld to think on their own. Nevertheless, hated it. Of course Eugeo had to be brainwashed, whyy!! I was so hopeful when Tiese appeared in his mind. I really thought Eugeo was going to win which would have been so good. Now we have to bear the fight until it's over and I hate it. |
