| It sure is sweet of Nariyuki to to let Mafuyu experience a school festival as a student, and eventually, the school experience that she wanted in her past. And this school experience will surely involve romance. |
| Time capsule, huh? I wonder of Amada, their landlord and Mafuyu's former classmate, will bring that up next chapter? Amada is also the only one in that flashback that has a face drawn in - not even her parents have defined faces... RIP fortune teller client girl, lol After the Helper Club shenanigans she was able to take that small step forward to engage with the students by accepting the gifts! Yay! The ones she interacted with even had faces drawn in! I'm sure that is symbolic of something! The Helper Club thing is such a "Nariyuki thing" to do. He always goes all out to support the people he cares about and has a gift for drawing other people into his plans. I'm looking forward to seeing how this mini school festival arc plays out over the next chapter or 2! |

| The amount of time that 22i puts into drawing Kirisu’s ass is astounding but very much appreciated. Great chapter and you can already tell she’s holding back how she really feels about him. Can’t wait to see Nariyuki gradually break down those barriers |

It’s pretty cool seeing him becoming the person he wanted to be in this route. And it’s fun seeing him so popular. Haha Love Mafuyu’s expression on the last page. He’s melting that ice for sure. Yeah, I was thinking that too about Nariyuki. He didn't really "change himself" to try to win her over - he made a concentrated effort to become his "best self" in this route. He, of course, wants to win her over but even if this route has an unexpected bad end, he would still be okay in the long term. Can you imagine the imagine what the reaction would be if after all this they don't get together? Yikes. XD Riichiro said: Mafuyu does have a little bit of a ‘A Silent Voice’ thing going with the blocked/blank faces in flashbacks. I think Nariyuki is one of my favorite romcom leads just because he’s genuinely a great person. He does have a knack for drawing others into his plans! Haha That faceless thing is used in a lot of stories; I was just pointing it out because it was used so much in this chapter. I've got Nariyuki pretty high on my list too. I think I still have to put a few people ahead of him: Junichi Tachibana from Amagami SS, Yuuji Kazami from The Fruit of Grisaia, Hachiman Hikigaya from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Keima Katsuragi from The World God Only Knows. Nariyuki is in my top ten at least, maybe even top five? That's how I feel as of today, anyway. Riichiro said: Did you notice the flashbacks from 182 and 183 are interweaving with the one from 101? Yes I did. I figured that the issues that were brought up and at least partially resolved in the mini-Mafuyu arc (100-102) would make a return. I'm actually a little surprised it took until the route was over half over before they would be formally addressed, but they have been worked on since the route started. The issues in the previous chapters that were parallels to earlier chapters all tie in to her insecurities - the pay off is going to be so good after all of this buildup. :D Also, #101, as well as #102, have Hino! I hope she makes a return to play a certain piece on the piano before everything is said and done! ;) |

I think that would crush me. XD However, if a VN is developed based on Bokuben, I want bad endings - just to see how sad and possibly demented the story could go. That probably won't happen because of the overall tone, but I have to admit I'm morbidly curious. Riichiro said: Yeah! He put a lot of thought into weaving all the past stuff together and building things up in this route. We know Miharu will be back from her comment last chapter, wouldn’t be surprised if Hino shows up as well. They are headed to class 3-D’s musical. I didn't consider Hino showing up as a ringer for the musical, but if she does show up, it would be a decent place to put her. Riichiro said: Interesting note, Tsutsui mentioned on Twitter that he made a mistake on Nariyuki’s age in the flashback, but didn’t say what it should be. That is interesting. I thought he was acting a little too childish to be 11. I'm going to guess that was he supposed to be 7 or 8 and Mafuyu is 17 or 18 for a 10 year age gap. I'm sure it will be fixed in the book release and I wouldn't be surprised if the digital version gets updated later on. |
| Nariyuki doing all of these things for Kirusu is so cute, really shows his tenacity which is seen through all routes of the manga. These close and full-body shots of Kirisu are also insanely cute, my screenshot folder is filling up. Also, Kirisu's past is very interesting and I hope we see more of it before this arc ends. |
