THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.

This volume, or the second part of this arc, wasn't nearly as entertaining as previous parts of the manga. It felt way too predictable how Junko was so cocky yet again, and how Zero just shot her down like that.

I think it's deliberate. In part 1, we're directly introduced to Zaizen aka the Final Boss head on so early, the games he set up are of course of a much, much higher level than anyone can come up with. So it makes sense that anyone else Zero's up against won't be as formidable as Zaizen's underlings.

I want to preface this by saying that I was already sincerely shocked that the Zero who refused to even pretend stabbing Jack's fingers, was supported by Yakuza as he ransacked this place and threatened to take out Junko's teeth. Of course, I knew it was acting, but to even threaten such an awful thing was something I never anticipated from him. And as I was already shocked at how far he went, he ran over and ripped out one of her fangs. I was the most shocked I've been in all of Zero. Bruh!!!

The boy has seen evil at its worst, he knows he needs to go pretty far. But still, even if it was karmic punishment, even if Zero comically had to remind us it was his 'bad guy act', it's still very interesting. Shocking and a bit of using fire against fire. I can't help but see the way Suezaki was using force against the righteous thieves, Yakuza powered violence, even if the motivation is far different.

And as Shinjuku Swan's Taki once said: "Remember this pain."
