----------------------------------------
I feel as though beyond having a stronger and constant main cast, one of the strengths of part two is its tone. Part one could be frustrating in it's predictability for me because it felt like I was always ahead of the manga. It was obvious that Zero would win, so why is it trying to make me worry? Whereas I do understand a reason is because Zero was struggling and growing and developing, on a functional level I couldn't help but feel that disconnect.

Part two has everybody on the same page. I have the same level of fearlessness, however I do not feel as though I am ahead of the manga. I feel as though the fact that Zero is so cool and amazing is the point and that's been made clear, he hasn't even worried once really! This simple shift, where if you will not actually make your character suffer losses, then not trying to scare us with empty threats, it's much more my style. Of course we're still on the second gamble so this could absolutely change.

As for his changed goals, now more than ever to literally crush evil, it appears to me that he will do what Junko did last time. After playing her with common sense and conditioning her to expect otherwise, I can only assume he will play the card to up the ante! Let's rob Junko blind!

By the way, I wanted to mention that previously I was unsure if innate talent was necessary to be a king. I already went back on this idea but explicitly, the people who assume their talent or power will naturally crush others and stop thinking ahead are defeated by tenacity, hard work, and ingenuity. Zero's methods trump his foes and force them to reconsider their ways. I think that speaks for itself.
