Any chance it won't be terribly rushed like all previous Crunchyroll originals?

The premise looks interesting (more than typical shounenish ToG and GoH), and the source material is said to be good, but after what they did to Tower of God and God of Highschool I don't have any hope it will be good. All previous Crunchyroll originals were terribly rushed craps. After they butchered those, I think Crunchyroll's modus operandi is completely clear. Does anyone still have any hope left? Is there any chance it won't end as bad as those two?

Unlike any of the other crunchyroll originals we already have something to go off https://myanimelist.net/anime/32668/Noblesse__Awakening. I think it will be better but still probably nothing great

do u think its a direct sequel to awakening or straight up new anime from chapter 1? Thnx

I checked the trailer properly and there were frames and scenes which were in Noblesse Awakening.

So I think Awakening is the first episode. And the anime will include that as episode one and keep on continuing the series.

I got some information from Korean communities, and they say that the anime is most likely adapted up to season 2 of the webtoon. If this thing gets 13 or 12 eps instead of 24 eps, this thing is 100% going to be rushed.

It has been confirmed for 13 episodes. Just heard about it online on the live crunchyroll expo and it showed a clip of the anime. Let's just say, it seemed lackluster in all areas.

And yes, it seems like it will start adapting from season 2 of the webtoon.

(There might have been some talk about more episodes being done later down the road, but was only paying half attention to the subtitles, so I might be mistaken about that part. In fact, if anything I wrote above turns out to be incorrect, then I apologize in advance.)

it was pretty much confirmed that they were gonna do 13 episodes I mean production i.g is also going to be busy with Haikyu To the top season 2

If I'm not mistaken, the first main arc/volume is around a 100 chapters but the beginning 50 or so chapters were pretty short. From what the trailer has shown, they plan to cover these 100 chapters in 13(?) episodes so yea, probably rushed. Noblesse is a slow read that gets better with each arc (not towards the end tho) and that's what made the manhwa enjoyable.

This mahwa have about 500+chapter, I think the adaptation will be about 40-80 chapter of the mahwa

I wouldn't keep your hopes up... After TOG and GOH I've decided to not trust them at all with adapting anything. I'd rather them not adapt them at all to be honest. Subpar animation, a story that went through a blender and sound design (what's that?), it's the first time I dropped a somewhat popular series since MHA.

I don't think manhwa being a new thing to adapt is the issue either. Plenty of works have come out better with more limited budgets. The issue is CR is banking on new/casual anime fans, pumping as much money as they can into making it look flashy while not actually making the animation all that good and sacrificing the story completely. A more balanced adaptation rather than pure flashy visuals would have served both series far better. Regardless, if CR was on a limited budget, they should forget about adapting action focused series and instead license something like 'Bastard' where animation won't matter too much and a well adapted story is all that matters. Or something like 'Weak Hero' where action is just fist fights, but both are probably too mature for who CR are targeting.

Oh dear god, i feel bad for this anime, cause crunchyroll so far have made their originals (TOG & GOH) rushed asf, maybe noblesse can take a different route but i’ve seen so many comments saying that many characters of season 2 of the manhwa are already on the trailer, aw man :(

I wouldnt mind so much if they rush it.

I read just under 100 chapters and I ended up dropping it because there’s 500+ chaps altogether and it felt like it was taking ages to get to the point. It’s a good premise but the source material drags and might benefit if the adaptation speeds through it a bit
