I watched the first 4 episodes and found this anime to be weak. The only interesting character was the protagonist, but I got tired of her personality already in ep4(tbh is very rare for me to get tired this fast of someone). The world looked interesting in episode 1, but everything fell apart in that poorly executed plot twist of ep2. Yes, the concept is great, but the execution was level episode 19 of Darling, and the overall writing of the series is poor. The action scenes weren't exciting either.
In general what saved this anime for me was it's sense of humor, but it's far from enough to make me want to watch it until the end(well, it's supposed to be a story-focused anime after all).
But I'm very curious because there are a lot of people hyping it, and they seem to increase each week(and also because this is from Mob's director). In a second tougth most of them were already doing it by episode 2, so I don't know if you can trust them. So, do something REALLY interesting happen after ep4? Does the writing get on track? Do any epic battles take place? Do any other good characters appear? Or it's just more of the same with some random twists here and there?

I think its great and I'm on episode 6. If the game twist was your problem with it, you should probably just drop it because it really only goes deeper into the concept.

You know, it's not like this plot twist came out of nowhere only in episode 2. There were some hints that "something weird is going on" in episode 1 already (especially the last scene after the credits). They knew what they are going to do with the story from the very beggining.

It depends on what you mean by "something really interesting," but after ep 5 the show focuses mostly on Kaburagi and the cyborgs' world, so if you don't like this concept and it's not interesting for you then yeah, you should drop it.

in my oppinion ep 7 was by far the best one at this point. if you still dont enjoy the series till then youre probaly better off dropping it. although I did enjoy it already at ep 4 as well. I guess nothing is for everyone.

You are the second person to tell me about EP7, I will give it a second try until them. But from what the others said I think that this anime is really not for me, well that happens to all of us ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I also like the concept, and I'm fine with the cyborgs, I just think it all seems forced, they should have used more eps to build it (it would be MUCH more impactful if after 6 eps of carnage we came to the discovery that it was all one game). Well, that's only my opinion after all.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for responding!
