Oh finally found some time to read this volume.

I wonder when J-novel will start the next volume.

I hope it comes out before the anime. I wanna read it beforehand.

It's yen press doing the translation so you should honestly expect at least 4 months per volume. But it's like twice a year in this case.

Regarding volume 3, I had a good time with this. It dragged with the summer barbeque trip setup, but this volume really showed me the raw potential of what this series can bring, AND, sets up a nice direction for the narrative to head overall.

Tomozaki continues to grow as a character and to think I went from really being annoyed by his awkward speech in the first volume, to feeling a sense of connection and care with his reflections on his newer views of the game of life and his approaches, in the end of this volume.

The assignments for him communicating with others, trying to make friends and gain character might be helpful in the short term but seeing how he's surrounded with Misuzawa and Hinami who constantly put up fronts to aim for perfection with their presences, Tomozaki reflects on whether or not that is it worth it to really bond with others, find love and date someone through a soulless task like an 'assignment' or 'task' to accomplish like a game for convenience and be someone he naturally isn't, or whether he wants to be his real self in the endgame. His speech towards Hinami at the end of the volume summarized well how much he's grown, and how much room is there for him to still grow, with a natural approach to attaining good youth.

The meetings with Kikuchi were nice, and it was nice to see more of her and let her character shine with time. She's a genuinely nice girl, definitely one of my favorite characters so far from this series along with Tomozaki and Mimimi.

Even the stupid but fun banter that Tomozaki experienced with the guys on the trip where they were talking to each other, and even having Big Dick Tomozaki show up the rest of them was fun. Reminds me of stupid convos that I would have with my friends in weird situations (no towels were off though).

And finally, while I still don't care for Hinami and Misuzawa, there's some intrigue now regarding their facade natures, and how Misuzawa would interact with Hinami in the future after that trip incident. The first time that I found either of them not boring. Still don't really care for Nakamura or Izumi, but hopefully their time will come soon.

In the end, this was a really good volume. May have taken some time to really get into this volume, and hell this series as a whole, but this volume impressed me. Would probably give 3.5 or 4/5 to this volume since there was a lot about this that I liked.

If this trend of improvement keeps up, this series would definitely be an unexpected good one. Classroom of the Elite had a bad start for me, and overtime its become a good series and this LN can potentially become like that too for me.

Oh boi, this volume was fantastic!

I see a lot of hate for Hinami around the discord but honestly, she's easily the character that I find the most interesting out of the girls. Something must've happened to her to make her like this and that's what's intriguing to me.

Because of spoilers, I know who Tomozaki will date in the future but I'm still rooting for

The last part got me really anxious because I didn't like Tomozaki's decision and it felt like a break-up, but Kikuchi came to the rescue! She's a really nice girl even though I don't ship Tomozaki with her.

The tension between Tomozaki and Nakamura is also clearing up which is nice. Big mara Tomozaki much? (Ippo joke)

All in all, this feels like it's the beginning of the second phase for this LN. Gonna now jump straight into Volume 4!

Just finished this volume, and I really liked how it ended. If I had to describe it, it's like the author changed trains. Tomozaki and Hinami were on a trainline that went from point A to F. However, that was as far as the train could go. So the author changed trains. Tomozaki had to get off the train, walk backwards to C, then get on this new train with Hinami. However, this new train may go all the way to Z. So although their relationship took a few steps back, the long-term potential looks a lot more promising than before.
Is Blue Box my favorite manga? Not yet...Yes. Yes it is.
