Oh man, I think Takuboku should be more careful about his health.

Episode is ok. The subject regarding life and death is kinda interesting but more so, the story told to Takuboku gave me the chills.

That house was a nice house. Wouldn't mind living there, nice and chill by some water.

A case of health, with life and death situations.

It's clear that Ishigami is getting sick interally, and while Kyousuke is oevrly concerned for the trickling detective (and played wwith the others), a case's a case.

Nothing much from this episode, but only philosophies of the living and the dead.

The case itself is far from over...for the presence of someone can be chilling. How to solve this unusual one though...

I don't think there's a third person living in that house, it's probably the man or his wife that send the threat letter, I think it's the man that send it to himself.

And the batman brother is interesting, who really died? Bigger brother or little brother? Are they swappable by changing hair color? Or is it the same person to begin with?

I was thinking the same about the letters. It could well be the husband or the wife for some reason. Maybe to get Ishigami involved, so the husband could trap him and prevent him from turning his mind to the bat-man case as he's solved similar cases or so the wife could get him interested in the bat-man case?

ngl thought the wife was indeed a dude at first before I noticed the eyes lol

but it looks like it's gonna be a multi ep case (hopefully it doesn't get resolved in the next ep but who knows) which I am interested to see how it develops

It's nice to see Kanyo and the writers call out Ishikawa for his bullshit, kind of. Ishikawa has been far from an ideal person, the contrary imo, so everyone's reaction on the cafe + Kanyo's sayings on the house was what Ishikawa deserved.

I don't really like this romantic subplot for Ishikawa tbh, I feel it kinda forced. Although I wouldn't mind it if Tamaki turns out to be the culprit, that would make things interesting. Also, why was there so much focus on Kindaichi's reaction on the whole issue? lol

That kind of plot is so cliche. Obviously there's no brother, Probably, the guy who was running was hired by Tamaki. The aim of it is to kill her husband without bringing any suspicion to her, and she is using Ishikawa as a witness.

So going by the pattern I'm going to guess wife is the culprit. I'm going to guess the scar on her body will play a part in the motive.

Ishikawa should really pay more attention to Kindachi. Dude was like a lost puppy this episode.

At first I thought she was a teenage boy but then I thought nah she's definitely a girl and I was right on the money lol.

I'm getting really creepy vibes from this case. Really not liking where this is going.

It's hilarious to read about clichés in this episode which is based on Edogawa Ranpo's novella "Beast in the Shadows". The story kept all the main elements of the novella: the strange couple, the letters with threatens, a detective who feels an attraction to young woman etc.

Loved those writers and Kayo's reaction towards Ishikawa's illnes seeing how Ishikawa's attitude the past episodes was quite terrible and he kinda brought it upon himself.
Interesting case we got here, I wonder who is the real murder behind 'bat-man' Kagami: Sonobe, Tamaki or possibly the little brother himself (which I kinda doubt)?
