THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Wonder why didn't anyone start the discussion yet. Though this OVA is completely nuts and random a lot, it still has a nice bit of Excel Saga spirit :)

I thought the premise and concept of it was good, but the exaggeration of dialogue came off just as annoying as opposed to high energy. I liked the OP's use of live action, but that alone could not save this kind of annoying and highly confusing OVA from being kind of annoying and not charming as it is intending to be. Even the self-reflexive bits seemed more forced than natural. Also the art style is not my favorite, because they look way too tall and realistic for my preference. This is of course not a slight against the show, but simply why I do not like it.

teekyuu before teekyuu

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create...life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about...from dying. He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power...which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death...but not himself.

it's been a while since I've watched this anime, and really the only thing I can remember from it is that I didn't like it, but anime from that time period do seem to like slipping in split second cameos that you can barely catch. I found Lupin the 3rd as a bg police officer in another.

To think Sandora did the animation for this, pretty impressive for a kid....I feel he is getting closer to his dreams of becoming a soccer player

Damn the jojo reference... I can feel the same kind of humor as Excel saga, truly a worthy spinoff.

RIP director....

Ah yes, the "lulz so random" humor of the 00's.

There are better parody-focused anime.
You all need to watch Nami.

I never seen an anime that perfectly represents the feeling of continuously slamming your face against a brick wall.
