Hmm, Takuboku has an encounter with a friend in the past.

Idk how to feel about the case this episode. The disturbance around town with mysterious clues and attacks made this episode somewhat thrilling. I guess this episode did a better job at adapting more of Takuboku's personality though.

Another case for both Kyousuke and Ishikawa, and this landed them at the High Tower, with Ishikawa's past-time friend and newspaper reporter Yamaoka.

As usual, Ishikawa's smart intuition rats out Yamaoka as the suspect of the case, but the truth is not as easy to muster the reveal, not without some tanka as exposition.

Turns out, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" lingers the case to its knees, with familiar characters being the prime suspects, and with it, being a revenge plot for Yamaoka right till the very end.

Simple case, but a roused one.

Not really sure how to feel about this show tbh. Felt the first ep was good, but then the second episode just...Idk lmao. Follow up was ok, much like today's episode was.

Be interesting to see what other cases pop up.

This episode is actually the first case in the novel, I think. Maybe anime use other cases to introduce us main characters. The pace is very different but at least we're less confused about who is who.

Another case in which another young woman gets murdered. I wonder if that's a reoccurring theme for this show. There's something about this show that makes it damn near unwatchable, but I can't put my finger on it.

Really not sure what they are doing with two leads' friendship. Kindaichi can do way better.

I still can't believe the whole Ishikawa blaming Kindaichi stuff was forgotten so easily and, even worse, we start the show with Kindaichi lending him money again. The author wants to put Kindaichi as an idiot or what?

Like, the previous episode I felt bad for him but if he will keep forgiving Ishikawa for everything while the latter keeps being a piece of shit then I may very likely don't care about Kindaichi either. If he's such an idiot then maybe he deserves being treated like a walking bank.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. I was shocked that Kindaichi was lending him money again.

*Sigh* Another episode which proves that Ishikawa is trash and that Kindaichi's role in the show is to be his doormat/sidekick forever. I wouldn't mind these interpersonal and character-related stuff that much if the plot was smart and the side cast was at least memorable, but since that isn't the case... What a shame, I had so much hope for the show. The cool artwork and uncommon setting are being wasted, imo.

Another case involving love and it was sad too. This case was okayish and I hope we get more interesting cases.

Oh no, I literally fell asleep during this episode and have zero interest in finishing it. And I really wanted to like this series!
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

Feels a bit weird seeing how Ishikawa and Kindaichi are still friends after the framing last episode
Rip Yamaoka and his lover, at least he got his revenge on the culprit. I kinda missed the reason for why Rokurou killed her in the first place.

The weird revenge suicide at the end didn't sit well with me. Also, Kindaichi needs to grow a spine.

Pretty sure Rokuro just happened to find her alone, raped her and killed her cause she put up a fight. I find it apalling that Yamaoke didn't find him prime suspect straight away given the guy frequents the area and always has his throat wrapped up....

This anime is such a mess! It’s so all over the place that it’s hard to keep up with what the hell is going on.

This could’ve been really good if it just focused on certain aspects rather than pulling our attention in different directions (most of which are so unnecessary)
