Hahahahaha, you're hilarious! That joke was good. Because surely you were joking, right? You couldn't possibly be so utterly moronic that you think that being a hero means you don't kill people even if they deserve it?
Let me tell you something. Killing one person makes you a murderer, killing thousands makes you not only a conqueror, but also a hero. A hero isn't some justice fag that you people like to pretend. A hero is someone who contributes greatly to the people he fights for. A hero is someone with power to back it up, in any shape or form, and heroes are generally baptised with blood. They're, depending on the case, the greatest mass murderers. Killing countless people as necessary to protect their own people or further their goals. The difference between a demon and hero is entirely dependant upon who they kill and what they do it for. A hero on the enemy side isn't necessarily a hero to your side.
A hero is someone who dirties themselves to protect those they hold dear or want to protect. On the other hand, these people who refuses to kill threats are nothing but juvenile, self-righteous hypocrites who are too afraid to actually be real heroes and do what's necessary.
Don't judge heroes with shounen manga ideals and petty unrealistic bullshit characters. A person who doesn't kill a plague, instead letting it ravage freely despite having the ability to rid the world of it is nothing but an accomplice to said plague. They're partly or even fully responsible for any further destruction or damage these plagues cause. They didn't want to kill so now innocent people will die, all because of their cowardice. Pathetic.
Honestly, I wouldn't give a single fuck if this anime wanted to keep on being nonsensical comedy, but it's trying to be serious so I have to judge it by serious standards. Gag comedy characters are fine like that, being kinda stupid, illogical and letting evil people go, even more so since said "evil people" usually never do anything beyond robbing a little. But these people are all mass-murderers who even enjoy it. They should all die and by not killing them, these brats who still stink of their mothers' milk are doing the world a huge disservice. If they actually cared, they would kill them.
But noooooooo, despite being taught over and over again by reality that these people can't be let go and needs to be killed because they bring danger to everyone, they somehow STILL refuse to do so and act as if it's such a good thing. Seems like it's not enough when all those people they know get murdered, gotta be one of the girls that get stabbed to death next, right? Why not just have one of the girls captured and raped before being tortured to death, clearly something these guys are capable of doing. Maybe they'll wake up then and understand that they don't live in a freaking utopia? That some people simply need to die, it's just a matter of who needs to die that can't be mistaken.
I know it sounds like I'm overreacting but I wouldn't have cared if not for this show being so damn infuriating in how it presents these issues. If the bandits just robbed people a bit, that would be fine, don't kill them, but despite repeated lessons on what really happens, they still don't learn, no, they keep on making the same mistakes. Also, the morons who are writing this show needs to decide already, do they want it to be serious or not? Or both? Because it doesn't mesh well right now, it's incredibly bad. The "sad"(to some people here who can't handle such low-level edgy backstories and killing events) parts doesn't work well with the funny parts, it's a chaotic mess. What are they even thinking? By skipping so many vital parts of the novel, they have completely messed up the flow and thus the depressing/serious parts feel very forced. It doesn't fit in at all. Sigh. It's jarring how it swings back and forth like a god damn pendulum on crack.
Well, I'll just go for quick skipping all the obviously bad scenes and taking a look at the more lighthearted moments. This anime sure was one hell of a flop. Can't believe some people feel like it's good. Last time I comment about this anime, first the novel was ruined by a shitty translation team and now the anime is ruined by a dumbed down and horrible adaptation.
Thanks for taking such a long time to tell us all about your wrong opinion <3
