Date A Live (light novel)
| Truly a Date and War in the literal sense, this volume was.The thing with Mio was so sad and so beautiful. On the middle of their date, I sure already had the feeling that this story won't end without some bittersweet moments but I wasn't prepared for this much..... At first, I thought it will probably be Shidou risking his life again and somehow enlighten Mio for the better......but no, its the other way around. Mio's wish is stronger than I give credit for. Makes it more so captivating and saddening. As for the final battle, with Wescott and DEM finally pulling the curtains for real, this last battle might arguably be or not the best fitting end. However, I'll still say, the way Wescott manage to outwit Shidou and the rest for most of the time, he's an awesome antagonist despite what I said on the last volume. Lastly, I thought this was the last volume of DAL before I read this, XD. But I'm glad that we'll be able to see more. So its alright to hope that there's still a saving grace for Mio right?? |

| Aah, this volume just breaks my heart I don't care whatever happened to all the spirits but Mio deserved her own happiness she became my most favourite girl R.I.P. Thank god that shit Westcott died can't be any more happy than this. And what's with that ending so is Tohka going to be the last boss huh I hope that won't be the case and she's doing this to save Shido somehow but... I hope that Mio comes back somehow and all the spirits live happily with Shido but I don't think that this is going to happen. Going by this I think that next vol is going to be last or maybe there will be 2 vol till it ends. |

| Mio true end After successfully asking Reine (Mio's clone) out on a date, Shido secretly relays his knowledge of the future to the rest of the Spirits, including Kurumi. Shido heads out on his date with Reine as planned, spending time together at a hot spring resort, before the two visit the beach where Mio and Shinji spent their date 30 years prior. Shido successfully kisses Reine: instead of being sealed however, this act allows the two to share each other's memories, thereby allowing Mio to learn about Shido's time travel, before the First Spirit seemingly kills Kurumi and rejoins with Reine. |
