So , it seems that Death Note is coming back with a brand new 87-page one-shot from the original creators. The story takes place after the events of the original series and its debut is scheduled to february 4, 2020. What are your thoughts on this?

Not going to get hyped.
I'm a huge Death Note fan but I dont think it needed more.

Definitely curious to see what they'll bring though, maybe Light comes back as a Shinigami (which he was rumoured to be already)
Or maybe a whole bunch of new characters or maybe something about Near ... who knows!

There is a 10 min vid on youtube I found in my recommended section where someone has obtained the early released version and talked about the entire one-shot. From what I've seen it'll be very interesting. Hope they don't try and ruin it like they did in the 2nd part of the series.

This just sounds like a retread of Chapter 109 or the Epilogue one-shot. Im really skeptical. Whats the point is its a re-tread... but whats the point if it doesnt go somewhere and potentiall spawn more? I dont know... There seems little point for this where Im seeing things. But I hope im suprised!

honestly im kinda hype but not that much because the series ended , idk vvhat they vvill add , maybe vve'll see Light in the Shinigami vvorld ?

I'm going to read it but I'm not super hyped about it. I think it ended well enough that this isn't needed. We shall see.

It would be kinda cool to see it animated but I don't really care for it. Like I liked the one-shot manga and I'm satisfied with it, I don't need to see it animated but it would be nice.
