Damn, those prison clothes...

Almost felt bad for Boruto here. At least he's not alone and is with Mitsuki and at least this show is back into a more serious mode again. Oh and Mitsuki's snake abilities does come in quite handy.

This new arc looks kind of interesting, nice to see the ''blood prison'' from boruto's dad shippuden movie 5 making a reappearance.

Actually surprised they decided to use that prison again. Never thought I'd see that place again since it was from a movie.

Overall though, it was pretty boring. I swear some of these stories they just write up random episode ideas and pull them out of a hat or something.

Its expanded manga content. Just wait for next episode. This arc is about Mujina bandints.

I'm watching Boruto for the first time in 27 weeks. I swore to myself after one SoL episode I wouldn't wake up at 4am for another filleresque episode and I meant that. Finally, manga content, albeit a bit different, we are finally making progress and I'm glad to be back. Hoping it maintains this level of quality throughout.

Pierrot really should have gone seasonal, this and BC have seen inconsistent quality due to the staff being under constant pressure to churn out episodes weekly.

Seeing the Blood Prison from the movie made me happy. Quite a beginning to a new arc. Can't wait to look forward to this arc. I waited like so long. Finally!!!

Look I call it - The knife-wielding scum working for the Mujina gang is that red-haired guy, who welcomed Boruto and Mitsuki in the cell. The main antagonist is, clearly, the lord of the castle, who is the leader of the Mujina gang. And he put a real seal on the guys*.

They are not random, there are countless tropes which they use in every of their episode, except they decide not to invest time and effort in them, and they up being just some tropes we have seen somewhere else. Reminds me of Fairy Gone, such a waste.

Bets on the shank guy being red head?

Calling it now.

I wonder how long this arc will be? People are saying it's supposed to be major but it's moving pretty quick. Can't imagine this going for more than 6 episodes.

The new 12th ending is called Firework (author is Flow Back.)
Now we can have an opening and ending of Boruto that both have the same name as a Katy Perry song, at the same time.
I'm guessing the 7th opening is called Impossible and the 13th ending is called Roar.

The question isn't "What anime do you like?" That is merely a list.
The question is "Why do you like it?" That tells a story. Your story.

If the lord of the castle used a genuine seal on Boruto and Mitsuki, how could Mitsuki access his ninjutsu to control the snake?

An interesting arc coming up, it seems.

The pacing was a little shaky this episode, especially towards the middle of the ep.

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.

Is it his ninjutsu? I always thought turning into snakes is his innate ability, since he is a genetic abomination of Orochimaru's.

Finally, a more serious episode and I like it. I didn’t watch Naruto the movie but this arc seems promising. Let’s hope it doesn’t become as disappointing as time travel arc for now.
Enjoy your day sometimes.

Nope, he has an affinity with snakes as a genetic trait from Orochimaru, but all canon sources classify it as ninjutsu. Although, knowing Boruto I wouldn't be surprised if it was retconned for the convenience of a plot twist during this arc lmao

There's no blood on the knife. Seems Kokuri is still a member of the Mujina gang.

The fat guard said that a large amount of water can undo the Celestial Prison jutsu. Well I bet there's a lot of water in the medical ward.

And lastly that Arai knows too much.
He who smiles in a crisis has found someone to blame.

Back to the canon lands, I'm digging this arc so far, so exciting indeed. I almost jumped out of my bed while watching this as soon as I realized it's the same prison from the fifth Naruto Shippuden movie “Blood Prison”. That prison seemed like a great set that I was kind of sad that it never was properly introduced in the canon story, but now it finally did.

Well, interesting ep. Much better than the previous one. At least some tension in the air. Sarada is cute with her new outfit
. It looks differently, but good. And the manager of the prison, Mujo-sama, looks so similar to the manager of Blood Prison, Naruto Shippuden 5th movie, Mui-sama. Actually it looks almost identical. After searching it up, I realize that Boruto is in the same prison as Naruto were in the past, Hozuki castle. Wow, lol, no wonder the managers looks so similar. Even using the same technique. Interesting.

This arc looks promising, but I have my doubt. Boruto hasn't a good reputation, so it can easily be screwed up. Either way, I am looking forward to the next ep.

Why can't the anime just start adapting the manga??? Always it has to take some plots from the predecessor series and expand it only to bomb it in the end just like the Time Travel arc. This time they chose to expand the plot of the Blood Prison; one of my favourite Naruto shippuden movies. That animation was class but the Boruto version is very bad and what's with those Prison jumpsuits; Blood Prison never had any prison uniforms and the sealing jutsu has weakened as the escapee just got injured rather than being charred to death like it happened in the movie. The animation quality was absolutely absurd and rubbish and the way the arc is going it's gonna bomb again.

That was actually not bad. Til now I think this is the first mission filler in Boruto which is good.

I like the way Sarada looks in the camouflage outfit ;J

I love Mitsuki for the moment he took the inmate's book while Boruto missing his toothbrush xD

Review en Español and English

Interesting filler episode (I think it's filler) reminded me of one of the Naruto movies, I hope this filler is entertaining.

PS: For me Arai is the one who attacked Kokuri and I suspect that he stole the wooden card when the doctors went to look for Boruto (my theory just in case)
