THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Episode was pretty good. Manji meets Habaki and one of the more gruesome arcs imo is underway. The trickster arc being skipped doesn't disappoint me as I believe the anime adaptation would have been subpar anyway.

I said it before, but picking Jouji Nakata to voice Habaki is possibly one of the best decissions that the staff of this adaptation took.
We also start the Prison arc. Lets see how they will handle it.

Better episode than last week, though it's a bit sad they set the stage for Anotsu's speech only to cut it for whatever reason.

This is one arc that could actually use a lot of trimming, so maybe for once the frantic pace will be a blessing in disguise.

Looks like Habaki is the next big threat after Kagehisa!
that was an awesome fight between Gichii & Manji!
i wonder if Rin would get in trouble with those other members of itto-ryu...
5/5.

Twilight mini arc plus the smaller self-contained chapters this episode. Skipping over the Trickster arc...

The Itto-Ryu known the full extent of their current strength and efforts to exterminate the other dojos to reclaim their supremacy, a backdrop to loyalty towards the Shogunate?

Giichi has come to warn Manji of the impending danger, and the involvement towards the Mugai-Ryu is in full swing against the retaliation of the Itto-Ryu. But knowing Manji as a lone wolf, submitting to this idea isn't his style.

Itto-Ryu general Kagimura Habaki meeting up with Manji is more than just testing each other, the feast of immortality straight on while Rin is still on the wayward to finding Manji. Really testing his resilience on his immortality now that he's captured...

One of the better episodes.

as someone who only read bits of the manga, i find this episode to be an improvement. overall, i think the anime is good enough to convey the story as it is. im really liking manji's character.

Yes. They kinda blurred/censored it I guess maybe for western audiences. They cut a number of semi-intimate manga panels regarding Rin and her feelings for Manji in this anime adaptation.

Oh I see, ty for clarifying this. Kinda understandable she has feelings for him by now.

My chest dropped when he opened the thing and all of those samurai were there... They are surely going to experiment the heck out of Manji...

Manji sure must hate his immortality by now I guess, having to relive those moments of pain each time

I'm glad the immortality thing isn't perfect if you get what I mean

Pretty good actually, crazy how the better episodes don’t involve Rin
