as the title suggests
put down your thoughts about the last movie you watched
it could be either a mainstream movie or an independent movie

The last movie I've watched was Snowpiercer. It was really great, from the direction to the story. The concept was really great the plot twist is one of a kind, some would say it is Bioshock-like.

I'm actually planning to watch that one soon. The last thing I watched was Joon-ho's Memories of Murder. The guy's well on his way to becoming one of my favorite directors, especially after his masterpiece, Parasite. I can't recommend that film enough.

I'm pretty interested in seeing his work on English-language films (namely Snowpiercer and Okja), though I do hear that they're a bit weaker compared to his other works.

Joker. While I did enjoy it due to Phoenix's compelling performance, an unnerving original score and absolutely phenomenal cinematography (seriously, the lighting was incredible), I had a number of issues with the narrative, specifically the contrived ways in which they tried to tie it to Batman's origin story. There's a specific moment near the end which caused my brother and I, who were watching it in our nearest theater, to just look at each other and groan.

I'd give it a 7/10 and would recommend it.
Take care of yourself

Saw River's Edge (2018) recently. Based on a manga from the early 90s.
Slow paced, but managed to keep my attention all the way through, which isn't an easy thing for me.
A little dark, a little edgy & totally worth checking out
