I haven't read that far but break a leg is like a good luck thing for actors before going on stage.

The opening of this chapter was so warm!! Everyone going to visit sick Kazusa in her pajamas to explain what occurred. The snacks and drinks. The shared sadness but also the coming together and the spirit that everyone ignited together. It was comfortable and adorable and heart warming. Of course, I loved the continued motif of having Momoko come to Kazusa’s side as she cried about the idea of losing her new home. You’ll always be welcome comrade!! But not just that, this club is a place for everyone. Sugawara feels she can be herself here, Hongou was visibly shocked and sad for once, and showed a real smile when saying she feels like she belongs here too. And, Sonezaki is one of the most determined of all to keep their club afloat! And their cause? Get a club advisor or cause a rebellion and die trying. If only good old Masara was still here, sleeping away. Speaking of him only Hongou and Sonezaki remain from those days it seems. They’ve known each other for awhile, and I can feel it. Especially in the next scene where Hongou seemed to comfort Sonezaki bringing her in for some R&R!

But once inside Sonezaki and Hongou both had their moments. Sonezaki was embarrassed as she read some dating tips, obviously ignited by Amagi, even going so far to buy it! She obviously wants to be pretty and has these feelings as much as she tries to reject them. Meanwhile Hongou has the spotlight by seeing that her deal was replaced, the other girl that the company was talking about came through. She was left behind and more than that, they totally used her and made fun of her on the phone. Hongou is mysterious but this chapter humanized her for sure. It’s not super clear why she is so dedicated and determined when it comes to writing this erotic fiction but she is. And to have someone so aloof on the other side of the phone, so uncaring as to actually make fun of her is so hurtful. Her going back to sext with some guy online came off to me as her trying to find out what’s wrong with her. It was sad and it led to that really awesome crying page. This manga does emotional moments great, Sonezaki crying when bullied or this one definitely hit me. If her writing is so unrealistic and she’s been replaced, it’s time to go and “do it”. With, someone whose anonymous and definitely an adult. I also loved how Hongou got so passionate about fighting back against adults who push them around, that was cool, and I loved the last “break a leg” scene. Sonezaki came in understanding her, covering for her, and wishing her some luck. It was weirdly sentimental.

Another plot string opened with Izumi going to talk to Sugawara. It immediately made rumors and set up Sugawara to be in a situation like Kazusa was in during middle school. Asada straight up evil faced her, she’s totally going to target her out of jealousy and that sucks. At least Sugawara seems like the type to be able to deal with it. I also hope Asada gets more to her than being a rival for Kazusa and a shallow antagonist! Anyways Izumi wanted the video deleted but it turned it something more than that. He showed the situation with Kazusa is also hard for him. It must be awful to have that kind of power to hurt people you care about just by publicly being friends with them. Yet he totally cares about her, I just wish both him and Kazusa stood up for themselves and each other more. Like they probably would have as kids.. It ended with Sugawara making him realize girls have adult feelings too.
