Yeah... nah luv. Longer battle and for what? That "fight" wasn't even supposed to climactic. Point of that little scuffle was Gilgamesh wanting to end things quickly before Sakura awakens into the shadow and he did except he's the one that got ended quickly by his natural enemy. That's why you sit there and wait for the 3rd movie to come out instead of making contrived scenarios in your head. Archer's battle was against True Assassin not the shadow and even when the shadow actually appeared in the forest, he still got done real quick by it despite being not a proper heroic spirit lol. And like I said, there's literally no point in prolonging that battle. |

He was practically the last Servant standing in Zero, he was the secondary antagonist in the 1st route in which he got a final showdown with Saber, in UBW he became the Big Bad by taking control of the Grail AND he got an awesome death at the end. What more could you want? HF as a route is an entirely different beast altogether and the studio already had to rush the pacing in order to fit the whole story into these movies. What's the point of prolonging a battle in which Gil had no chance in hell of winning to begin with? |

You just want to have the reason over my oppinion of wanting a Battle Royal be longer since for you was perfect the way It was ... Not a second longer, no more battles , Well then marvelous, im Happy you love It the way It was, i did not Found It anticlimatic, deal with It I think that's the reason you seem frustrated over Gilgamesh's death: your interpretation of the Heaven's Feel route. It's not supposed to be an epic battle royale themed anime that puts the fights at the forefront. That might've been more of the case for the Fate or UBW route, but the HF route focuses on darker and mature themes, and how Shirou's ideology clashes with reality and how he deals with it. If you're into Fate just for the fights, go rewatch UBW or get into another action show that put their fights in the center. Hell, even in VN route for heaven's feel, where they had all the time in the world to elaborate on anything they want, the confrontation between Gil and the shadow lasted like 5 minutes, and most of it was just excessive description. It was purposeful that the fighting elements did not last long. So yeah, if you're looking for battles and epicness, heaven's feel might not be for you, since its major appeal is the darkness and how heavy it is mentally, despite being from the Fate franchise whose appeal might be more centered on the battles. |
| Shadow ate him. I prefer shadow wrecking everyone in this route. We saw enough battles in Saber and Rin routes. |
