Saw the PV when I went to see Tenki No Ko last month and man this has got me super hyped. The art style is absolutely gorgeous, idk if it has a particular name, but this is my favourite style of anime art. Darling in the franxx, anohana and a few others have had it. The main character also reminds me a lot of Ichigo who I love. Other girl looks just like konkoro, idk if they had the same artistic director or whatever, but I’m pumped. Music sounded great, dialogue seems cheesy and romantic, just how I like it. Can’t wait. It’s a shock to me that not many people are talking about it... oh well, I like really niche stuff anyway.

It's made by the same director as Anohana. He's also made some amazing movies and even directed Toradora as well, I feel like it's going to be amazing

Yeah one look at the poster and that artstyle definitely looks like DFxx and Anohana. I'll probably give it a shot.

Isn't everything unique about those shows attributed to Mari Okada though? Tatsuyuki is quite too norm-core to be honest. He's barely got any style in his works at all, and if the writing by Mari wasn't there those examples you gave (Anohana & Toradora) would probably have gone nowhere.
So if you're hyped about this due to its connection to Anohana and Toradora, you should probably give the credit to Mari. But don't worry, she's the writer of this movie aswell.

same character designer, Masayoshi Tanaka. I'm in love with his artstyle

“Now I have neither happiness nor unhappiness.

Everything passes.

That is the one and only thing that I have thought resembled a truth in the society of human beings where I have dwelled up to now as in a burning hell.

Everything passes.”

Yeah, true, Mari is probably the one that made those shows what they were, but I personally found O Maidens in Your Savage Season pretty disappointing besides some meme GIFs, so it's not like she can solo carry stuff.

Nevertheless, as the airing date draws near, HYPE!

I expected some nice romance.

Then I saw what anime is mentioned under Alternative setting. Then I checked the tag.

Oh boy, another tearjerker.. :-(

Well, I've also waited for long time, but after watching it, it doesn't deserve all that waiting. Slightly disappointed.

I do have Netflix and it appears it was there at one point but not anymore. Sad face.
