| When they started talking in Haruto's ear (after he said he couldn't feel their kisses), I specifically thought, "Okay, but imagine if the voice actors got all close up to the mic when delivering these lines, or did something to make it sound like they're speaking right in your ear." Now I wouldn't be out here nitpicking the the realism of the audio, if the anime itself, 40 seconds prior, didn't apply a spatial stereo effect to Nona and Bellnoa, for 15 seconds, just to make a weird joke, and then discard the effect. But then the two go, "we gotta whisper at him real good," and then a text card appears saying "You should put on your headphones for this, wink wink," and I'm like, "oh, they're actually leaning into the whisper porn!" Except that they don't! The audio doesn't change at all! This bedroom scene randomly went ASMR-mode, snapped back, suddenly asked, "you guys like ASMR?" and then did not ASMR. They didn't just miss an opportunity, they held it in their hands with a look of confusion, and tossed that opportunity over their shoulder... then walked a few paces, had a revelation, and started miming as if the opportunity were still in their hands. |
