| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn, tension is running high this episode. Feels like a lot of pressure is on. Tsubasa played a rough and risky game imo with some of his plays. Same with Hyuga. His sliding is always to watch out for. Seems Tsubasa is playing his hardest to get open shots for the team. At this stage of the competition, I think the stakes are higher than ever. |

| It's for his dream to have V3 with everyone in Japan, so the doctor was thinking to lightly but for his health. Everyone in his team is trying their best to defend. Second half and Tsubasa only has 30 mins. left (anti-pain). Wakashimazu guy has two choices: soccer or karate (his household). NamiDai's character approached that field prince guy to be a coach for a future team. Tsubasa team trying but Wakashimazu guy also blocked it. Back and forth, with having two wishes. Hyuga guy also joins defense. Tsubasa also feeling Hyuga guy big not just for his shoot, but also as a leader of the team. With Hyuga guy got the ball, Hyuga guy's team went for offense. So Tsubasa vs. Hyuga guy. Back and forth. Then Hyuga guy's shot, Tsubasa blocked it with his shoulder, which no no-pain shot, so goalie guy got the ball. The ripped shirt shows his dream. With teammate, Tsubasa got the point with overhead kick. But still same point with 20 mins. left. |

| Two posts above? o_O ====== A half-match on drugs... I was quite disappointed back then when I had no interest in the 80s series. At least, now that I like CptTsubasa, I was prepared to this terrible example of behaviour. Ishizaki's return to the foreground was beautiful to see and my personal highlight. 5/5 |
| Tsubasa got even more injured, more drama about it. It was a fine episode. Not as hype as last episode, with that net-ripping, wall-piercing counter-drive-shot, but we can't have each episode be extremely shounen-like, can we? Thankfully these final episodes are translated within just a few days, even if they're completely google translated. Just a few more episodes left, but I'm sure they will be epic. |
| With the last episode's closure, I thought that Tsubasa's absence in the field would me at least 3/4 of today's episode, not just 2 Tiger Shoots. Still it was a pretty good episode. I would love to see David Production animate the European Tour arc. Back then in my childhood, the local TV channel always mixed the episodes of the original/J and road to 2002 so I never got the chance to any match of that arc (but Dragon Screamer will always be in my mind). |

| I'm so proud of Hyuuga and about how much he has mentally evolved since the beginning of the series. Toho's teamwork alongside his powerful shots and Ken's badassery make such an awesome combination without a doubt. But that said, it's such a shame Tsubasa has to win every important match just because he's the MC. Honestly, at this point, I couldn't care less for his dream but well. Overall, it was another tense episode although not as thrilling as the previous one. |
| honestly, i don't care even a bit for tsubasa's dream, he's awful character, what makes the me stick to the anime is his mere playing. on the other hand, hyoga is fine character, i wish to have captain hyoga series... |
