AAHH Miu is adorable XD Also, I totally understand Rui. I see a lot of hate for her character, but honestly she's the one I empathize with the most. I hope she's able to resolve these feelings in her heart. I don't think I can wait for the next episode. I feel a hole in my chest and only episode 8 can fill it back up. The yakuza story was funny hahaha |

Whether he likes them or they like him back is beside the point. Can't believe the number of people who don't know what a harem is, and these people are commonly found on Goblin Slayer and Shield Art Online threads, weird seeing one here. It's all about the self-insert fantasies. The teacher is far from a scumbag? If a teacher tried to make two students kiss in front of him, he's getting fired and looking at legal troubles - the girl was in tears. That's scumbag material.papsoshea said: I don't like this new Teacher at all. The way he's introduced in this episode, like, who the hell does that? And also trying to force Natsuo and the new addition to his harem was a creepy and scumbag move. So I guess he will be the multi-dimensional emotional chess-playing genius who’s masterfully shaping young lives? (Eyes roll) I have enjoyed some of the things this series has shown thus far, which is surprising for me but, it a way of drawing you closer with one hand even as it pushes you away with the other. This episode wasn't as good as the other ones but we did get some development from Rui and a promising moment for future episodes with Natsuo and Hina. This series isn't a harem to begin with, and Miu doesn't like him. Also, Kiriya-sensei is one of the best characters in the series. He is weird and eccentric, but he's actually a good person. I don't know if the anime will get to those points where his character shines, but trust me, he's far from a scumbag. Yeah, I know what a harem is. And having read the manga, I can tell you this isn't one. Only three girls like him, and he ends up rejecting one of them. You'd be really stretching the definition if you labeled this a harem. And I'm telling you he isn't. I'll agree that forcing a kiss is wrong, but he never does anything that questionable again. He's nothing but helpful and kind after this. "Harem is a kind of story in Japanese anime and manga where a male character is surrounded by many female characters. ... The term "harem" is generally not used by itself, but as an adjective to the genre—such as harem anime or harem manga." It's not just wrong, its the kind of wrong that could get teachers in jail, a student was crying and one student argued that this was wrong, but he was persistent until Natsuo put his foot down. Whether he doesn't do anything like that remotely again, that's besides the point, he is a scumbag for this incident - let alone, putting his hands on Natsuo's face in the way he did. No, you don't: "A genre in manga and anime where a single (often ordinary) guy is liked and followed by bunch of girls (3 or more) who are all madly in love with him. The girls often fight each other to get the guy's attention." I think you're overreacting. You're acting like he's monster or something. Just calm down. "Harem is a kind of story in Japanese anime and manga where a male character is surrounded by many female characters. Suzuka, Love Hina, Ai Yori Aoshi, Rosario + Vampire and Sekirei are just a few examples. Most of the time the females are romantically interested in the main character. The term "harem" is generally not used by itself, but as an adjective to the genre—such as harem anime or harem manga. The term orginates from the arabic word "hareem" which literally means women and was also used to refer to one man many women like a sultan hareem" I'm perfectly fine, just pointing out that you're arguing against the defintion, and not me. Except I'm not. Romance HAS to be involved. There's no getting around that. This dude is delusional, don't bother. According to him a 17 years old girl who dated 30 guys at this age already isn't a stupid slut... And now he desided to redefine the meaning of the harem "Looks like I was wrong but I'll change the meaning of the word so in my world I'm stil right" xD And I have no idea why you used a false equivalence example either lol @papsoshea, you're so salty that if I were to consider you as seasoning, a pinch of you would be enough to ruin a whole Thanksgiving turkey. papsoshea said: TsukuyomiREKT said: Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that. Just looked up the source. Rui loves Natsuo. Hina loves Natsuo and Momo loves Natsuo. That's 3 girls! Double checked with their wiki pages. Then you have the tropes from Rui acting jelly. Then you had the trope with Momo initiating the waifu war (playfully). His situation is that he went from his crush (teacher) and first girl he had sex with (teacher's little sister) to live with them, then Momo and then Miu (according to the source, she is not officially in love with him - I double checked on her wiki page and saw nothing) so him being surrounded by girls completes the definition of a harem. This idiot that keeps replying can't even understand why this show has the shounen tag. There have also been harem 101 tropes throughout so far. Why are people fighting about this lmao. Here's straight facts: this can be considered a harem anime, because by SOLID definition a shounen anime with the MC surrounded by females (some or all of whom are romantically involved in one way or another) is considered a harem anime. It doesn't have to involve sex, but BONUS—this anime has sex. Here's another straight fact: this anime being labeled a harem anime doesn't diminish the value of said anime. Just because you may have some negative connotations with the label harem should not stop you from continuing to enjoy (or not enjoy) the anime. If you do enjoy it and would not like to label it as harem because you're not comfortable with the definition then JESUS H. CHRIST, you don't have to consider it as one. You can live peacefully thinking it is a harem anime or not. It should not change how you enjoy watching this anime, UNLESS YOU LET IT. You can avoid the people you think are shits and everything will be better. Can we just be happy that Miu is finally in this episode and Rui was less of a dead fish and had more emotions here than in previous episodes combined? |

I thought this show is gonna be yaoi judging only from that first scenes of this episode. xD New girl was introduced. She seems to be similar to Rui. I am curious on how their rivalry for our main character will look like, 'cause Rui's feelings towards Natsuo are more and more serious. |

I can understand thinking that this is a harem, and to a degree I even agree, but I also understand how someone might get defensive calling this a harem anime given the negative connotations harem anime carry with them. I'm only here again to say you've already proved your point, so we can do less with the name calling and just let them be. If they don't want to call it a harem, fine. No one's dying because of it. As for them, they've said their piece and have even stopped replying (so far). As far as you're supposed to be concerned, the argument is done. Let's just chill. The anime is getting spicy and this weeb can't wait in peace while a buncha other weebs are fighting like children. |

The anime is getting spicy and this weeb can't wait in peace while a buncha other weebs are fighting like children. The directing is poor in the show. The camera angles and scenes are too flat and it's uninspired, lacks any real passion to its making. The pacing is also pretty flat and poor. Too little has happened for a span of seven episodes which is about three hours. The studio needs to start adapting more material otherwise it'll just get boring. Only thing I like is the characters, especially Rui. She's basically shrouded in mystery and no one knows why. Hina is the overly cheerful woman who seems ideal at first glance but actually has quite a few flaws. Natsuo is a conflicted teenager who's way too nice for his own good. |

The directing is poor in the show. The camera angles and scenes are too flat and it's uninspired, lacks any real passion to its making. The pacing is also pretty flat and poor. Did you come here just to prove me wrong for liking the anime by shitting on it and quoting me, or did you have anything constructive to add regarding the childish squabble you were involved in? But fine, you wanna discuss the anime? I do get what you mean about the shot composition though. Rui too is my favorite. Writing could be better, less predictable in some places, with even pacing, but I'm okay with how it's going. Despite the shounen tag, I'm here for the drama, and at least I feel that the drama is enough to keep me watching. For someone who said so many negative things about it, I'm surprised you even got twice as far from the three episode rule. It's episode 6, what are you still doing here watching this show lul |

Im just disappointed in the quality, it doesn't feel alive compared to the manga. Btw, that "childish squabble" I got involved in was for my own fun. Like geez, I say this show isnt a harem and suddenly the guy tries to teach me what the definition of a harem is. Who the hell wouldnt find that hilarious? xD It's the equivalent somebody trying to teach you how to play soccer when you already know how to play soccer. Who wouldnt mess around at that point? xD |

Quite frankly, I care not much about you disliking the show. The fact that you still watch the show despite expressing much negativity about it tells me that it at least is doing something right for you to stick around so much, and no, I don't think it's because of your loyalty to the manga. As for the trolling streak, you do you. I'm just saying, it's tiring watching y'all argue and justify yourselves. Which is why this is the last thing I'm going to say about this whole thing. I'm really just here for the anime. Have fun trolling, I guess. |

I really want to like this anime, but it feels more like a daytime soap opera than anything else. Too many plot twists for my liking. |

I've watched six episodes of this show. I thought I was one thing. I am clearly something else. A dishonored thing. Once I pass, I will wander the underworld as a blind, deaf fan of this trash. More garbage please. |

That opening scene...I was really hoping this show was going to have a gay twist. That would've been interesting. |

Hina-san is making her move. Rui had better get the lead out, Natsuo is a super chick magnet. I don’t like that literature Sensei one little bit, he seems like a hentai if some sort. |

(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ ちゅっ ちゅっ キス (´。✪ω✪。`) I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;) |

Gay guy made this show drop a point for me. Presenting a gay person in media is doing the viewers a disservice. Anyways, waiting for this show to turn bad. It's still pretty good. |

I like how Rui shows her disappointed pout face to Natsuo, And when Natsuo was about to kiss Miu, I thought Rui would enter the club and notice the kiss Rui is also trying to participate more too, as a new emotion within her awakens. |

This feels like the kind of anime where characters chase after things they can't have, but when they catch up, they don't know what to do. The characters feel trapped in indecision, and are just meandering with some vague idea of what they want, but without a concrete enough vision of what that is. As such, they use love and romance as a substitute to fill that void in their minds and hearts, while also having no idea how to establish nor maintain a healthy relationship. Because of this, the characters just make themselves and each other more miserable, causing emotional damage, building distrust, and accentuating feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. A lot of the show's awkwardness seems to stem from this. |
