Utawarerumono is based on a VN and the sequel VN was just released alongside the Anime adaption. The second season took so long because there was no source material to work with till now. |

| I was downloading this from #NEWS and #NIBL @ rizon irc when it was airing, and been waiting for S2 ever since. I think we have good chance for S2 @ 2020.. No kidding. it would be 10 years anniversary for the series. And we're already over halfway there LOL /remind me in 3 years and hello to the guys reading this in the future. |
| I just finished watching the series, I was searching for news of a second season when I found this thread. Reading through this hurt my soul, it's like one of those old time capsules. It's been 6 years, but reading this took minutes. Years of anticipation reduced to a few words. There's still hope, there's always hope, but chances are slim, which makes it all the more sad. It was a great anime and I'm glad to see people who enjoyed it as much as I did. Here's to waiting for season 2. |

| If petitions worked we would have more Fruits Basket and Ouran by now. xD Also it depends mostly on sales so the reason this series does not have another season is probably it didn't do well enough sales wise. |
