Hmm, Touma is back and so is Ituswa. Also, jealous Index and Misaka spotted!

After all the battling, drama, etc, I think this may be the sillest episode so far of the season. Maid jokes, bath scenes, and other awkward moments heh. This episode pretty much gave me an opposite impression of the Battle Royale arc. That one was dark while this episode is super lighthearted with comedy until Acqua of the Rear Back returned.

Trouble is back!

Surprisingly this is more properly adapted than any BR episode lmao (probably because of bath scenes)

But the amount of QUALITY really hurt my eyes.

And it would be perfect if only they showed Acqua's frightening speedblitz from this episode back there at Avignon's epilogue.

We the kamachifags and the index cult agree this one probably have the best pacing comapred the previous 6 episodes.

NOW

LETS I AM HERE WAITING FOR ACQUA OF THE "REAR" some action

This was the best episode in term of pacing and the Action was good.
Could have been better too though!
I think episode 7 is the best until now compared to the last 6eps.

The pacing for this episode was actually good. If this season had more episodes, we could've had this kind of pacing for every episode.

Well this volume kind of works well, cause it’s mostly one huge fight scene.

One of my favorite volumes, I like it more than the Battle Royale arc. Good to see the pacing and all being nice, I'm happy that they didn't skip all the light-hearted stuff and kept most of it.
I had a hard time imagining the setting of this volume in particular so seeing it animated is great!

Joining to all said above and i think probably the best episode adapted. Not really surprised cause this arc is pretty small, just not to jinx anything. Was really nice to see how the AC different places look like, pretty hard to imagine in the first place and now to remember. Next episode should have some crazy atmosphere with Acqua, i hope they will deliver it.

I'm surprised that they adapted the Acqua Arc pretty well (Which is one of my favorite OT arc), although I believe the reason why the pacing of this episode handled so well was due to it's contains the bathing scenes that Nishikiori loved so much. This is the best episode of this season have so far, although this won't change the fact how poorly this season has handled so far.

Talk about pacing, I believe this will be how they adapts the story arc in this season based on these 7 episode:
Terra Arc: EP1-3
Battle Royale Arc: EP4-6
Acqua Arc: EP7-9

An excellent episode and its nice to see Touma and the gang again not to mention Itsuwa. Funny how the first mission back is escape from school to get lunch. Guess Touma's meddling with their plans finally got him noticed.Itsuwa's expression as she made her declaration of being a live in bodyguard was cute. Itsuwa really is wife material. Its nice to see them focus back on world building. The bath scene was nice in showing Mikoto's inner struggles. Itsuwa's attempts to close the distance was interesting. Acqua certainly is a powerful threat that has the presence to back his might up. A good combo of comedy, character development and story progression and one of the better episodes of this season.

Great episode! Perhaps even the best of this Season, so far.

Even this episode felt quite hasty but it wasn’t too much, thankfully. I failed to keep up with everything from the last three episodes, but this episode was a nice change of pace to finally get me on board.

Touma is back, finally! It’s been a while and what a return! First couple of minutes of the episode before the Op just showcased some of the usual ToAruMajutsu’s hilarious scenes. Comedy of the episode in general was ridiculously great, actually. Maid jokes, jealous Misaka and her wild thoughts(inner struggles mostly of Touma and that little one from Kuroko and I just can’t get enough of it xD, #MisakaGreatness) and jealous Index, hilarious bath scene, the pervertedness of the Catholic Church’s folks(and whoo, what a plan that was!) the usual glorious treat of Itsuwa’s greatness really made this episode a marvellous watch! Shocking fact is that I’d no idea all this time that Tsuchimikado and the crazy maid lived together and that too right beside Touma’s flat. I was really taken by surprise there, lol. Touma reluctant to let go off Itsuwa’s cleavage until he snapped out of it as soon as Biribiri appeared was the highlight of the episode for me. I just couldn’t stop lol even after replaying the whole scene over and over again.
Coupled with this, the brilliant display of the sky and the infrastructure was a nice addition. It just like the show cared about us, the anime-only viewers, at long last for once. Great episode for some Character Development for a Characters too! Anyway, the buildup to the reintroduction of Terra of the Rear was well done. I certainly didn’t expect him to be this bloody strong though. What a way to ruin a nice walk though, I must say.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Kamijou Touma responds to this and by the looks of the Preview, we’ll probably be seeing the return of a few Characters!

The first part of this episode was fun. probably the best so far. But that fight... looked so weak. Animation generally felt strange at times and even peaceful part was rather fast and chaotic.

Strong guy huh? I can't wait for Touma to punch him in the face.

They finally got their pacing right. As everyone has said before, best episode so far regarding that aspect. More Itsuwa is welcomed, Mikoto was cute as always, glad to see the other Amakusa members and Acqua is such a beast. Rip Touma, he didn't stood a chance. Hyped to see rest of the arc and the fight against Acqua.

Also, Touma finally put Index in her place. That's the power of the dreams of a man.

Such a juicy Misakass.

Why didn't they skip whatever they tried to do in the last 3 episodes and instead continued from this point? I could have been better than showing that aberration they did with... whatever happened in the last 3 episodes.

Looks like (probably) Index is going back to its former glory. I hope it keeps up although the animation is not at is best.

I barely know what's going on or why, taking a time out for boob jokes and a bath scene seems out of place, much as I love those. LN readers seems to think it's great, which makes me think the LN is as trash as the anime.

The show looks worse than it ever has.

There's not really much to talk about in that regard, it's just like the last time Tsuchi took him out of AC, he just gets brought back after he's "done"

i can get that you didn't understand anything from the last arc because it was pretty bad in the anime , but what's the problem here ? there's nothing to not understand lol , and the LN readers say it's good because the pace wasn't bad and they didn't cut something from the LN yet

I feel like you've got it a bit backwards. This arc was only adapted well and had good pacing because of the slice of life stuff. The director only cares about being faithful when it's an Iyashiki, and basically speeds through the action stuff to get to it.

That's actually the opposite of what we've been told, this director extended the end of S2(OT13) because felt that they shouldn't cut out stuff on the invasion arc. Nishikori apparently likes to keep stuff in while Yoshino cuts

If you say so. That's just what this episode felt like to me. A perfectly well adapted slice of life episode after a giant train wreck that was the action stuff. If they had cut most of the SoL stuff here, and gave the previous episodes more time, maybe the actual action arc would have made more sense. A lot of this episode just felt like a waste of time to me.

Itsuwa is a member of the Awakusa Church. They were introduced all the way back at the beginning of Index II, during the Book of the Law incident, when they were protecting Orsola, a nun from the Roman Catholic Church, from the Agnese Forces, a group of 200 nuns from the Roman Catholic Church led by a nun named Agnese, as she beleived she had figured out a way to decifer a legendary grimoire known as The Book of the Law.

As for why they want his arm, that's extreme spoilery stuff. I'll let you puzzle over it for now.

Well, personally the SoL stuff is necessary for this exact arc, perhaps you might want the earlier stuff cut down like the Index scenes added into OT14, but for this one that tone shift between them having fun and Acqua coming in is good.

This episode had plenty of the comedic moments that I really love about this series and, not to mention, it was really epic to see Toma put Index in her place for once. As much as I like her, it was about time that Toma got back at her. =P

Misaka, once again, was really cute about her thoughts about Toma, but sadly, that did make her overheat in the indoor baths. XD

Acqua is going to be an annoyance, though. He made easy work of Toma and Itsuwa and has given Toma a day to give his right arm to Acqua. All I hope for now is for Toma to recover from his injuries, fight Acqua again and land a solid right fist in the face.

Although this episode was far more in the slice of life style, I felt the art and animation quality was better than some of the previous episodes. It's not to the level where I think the show's visuals should be, but it's getting better, bit by bit. Hopefully it won't go downhill from here, visually speaking...

This episode was actually kind of okay, but again this is the first canon bath scene, and Acqua's fight scene still have weaker animation than what I would prefer. Meh, can't expect that much from Nishikori.

Let them be, retards gonna be always like that, this series has always been too smart for people that are consistently watching it\or reading it while their brain is turned off.
Either way, they never did justice to his character in the first season so need any miracle or slightest of hope to get that scene right and brings out a better picture for viewers about Kamijou Touma.
Then again with Nishikori, he needs to be a bit creative for once ffs.

"Clusterfuck in anime form", please add anime to all your criticize, I wouldn't have poor BR arc suffer any more additional slander. The poor baby already have gotten the short end of the stick in the anime.

Again I wonder what the hell was going on in the production committee's head when they didn't make Liberal Arts City and push Railgun 3 first to animate Dream Ranker. Would have made BR a lot more enjoyable.
