Interesting . This word explains the episode. First more and more people begin to forget Mai and after knowing this Sakuta goes to a different level to protect his memory of Mai. It's very generous of Mai to let him forget his memories about her even though she knows that she will be alone after that .

But the way in which he remembers about Mai is somewhat confusing . If by just seeing the words she taught him yesterday he remembers about her ! If that is so then what about her mother huh?? She forgets about her only daughter . If that was the case then she would have also remembered about her in some way or another. How can a mother forget her daughter?
She should have remembered by some things around her . This happens to none of them except Sakuta . That's what I find confusing.

Overall the episode was very good ,the confession and all. I hope the next episode is much straightforward and is even more good but for now
Points -8/10

There were points that didn't match/consistent for him from the morning.

Well, the first indicator was the bunny girl costume.
The second one was the book which he wrote.
His male friend indicating that he was refreshed even though he was burnt out the previous days.
Futaba's note, indicating how to re-establish mai's existence.
And the trigger was the kanji he learnt last night.

So, I don't feel it's out of no where.

You're right. I missed most of them . And thanks for correcting them . But I am still confused that how could her mother could not remember her ?? That's what has taken my interest .

But thanks for pointing out the mistakes. I myself forgot about them .

I'd say the mother/producer were in a cold war for 3 years, right from middle school end to the 3rd year of high school. Mai also lived alone, so the contact was lessened by a lot in the three years.

Take Sakuta who falls in love(fresh memory), interacted with her for 3 weeks(may 6th to may 29th), teaches him kanji the previous day. And sakuta also prepares for the eventuality that he forgets mai. The doubt is put with the notebook, Futaba's note further cements that doubt and when the crack is there, the kanji from last night breaks the wall.

Well this is my take.

Interesting . This word explains indirectly you're saying that the people who will remember her will be the only one who love her. The other people will recognize her because of the actions of the one's who love her . Is this what you mean ?? If not then please enlighten me .

If you take what the anime says at face value it seems that people ignored her just to go with the flow of things and that manifested as them not being able to see her at all. So MC cared so much about her that he couldn't "follow the atmosphere" (or just follow what others have been doing) for long, aka he loves her, or at the very least is infatuated by her.

Him shouting at the top of his lungs to the whole school about loving the girl that no one thought about and ignored, forced them all to think about her at once (instead of just the select few people he would ask before, who blew him off and didn't take his questions about it seriously). Which would mean that she wasn't ignored in mass anymore and could be seen.

That's my take at least

Boy, this sure was rushed and underwhelming. This situation didn't have much weight if it could be resolved so easily. Well, I hope there will be at least enough interactions between the two to carry the series.

Holy shit, that was sooo embarrassing, but in the best way possible! The confession was so sweet and over the top and awesome, I don't know what to say! This almost feels like it could be the end of the series, even though it's only episode 3. I guess it's the end of this arc. I really loved it!

The pseudo-scientific explanation and reasoning regarding quantum mechanics and Schrödinger's cat was so absurd it made want to drop this, but I won't (yet).

Also, characters' behavior is too unrealistic.

The only points in favor I can find are the comedy, which I enjoyed, and the overall production quality.

I'll keep watching, but this show is way overrated, 6/10 for me (so far).

Series is an overall mehh... I didn't like the fact that their relationship was rushed and feels hollow without any proper buildup, it didn't felt organic.

It felt like they were already good friends from the very beginning and this was the fact that I heard that they skipped some chapters in the manga, don't know if this was the same for the novel but it really shows.

Damn... How is it possible? Sakuta don't stop impressing me, he is the best! What a awesome confession he did, didn't expect that to happen that soon, but i am really happy, that he made Mai visible to everyone once again! Was hard to handle, i think i felt ashamed too!

I love that couple, their chemistry is priceless!

This show is becoming better and better each episode, its becoming a masterpiece for me cause we dont have cliche and we cant predict what will happen!

I am glad that the situation worked out for Mai. Regardless, the manner in which Azusagawa resolved the quagmire was impressive. Even I was fidgety when he made his exceedingly awkward proclamation.

So... the anime is over now? For me, the plot that hooked me up is over, and a new one will begin... I liked that it was fast, but i believe they could make it a bit longer... first 3 episodes was too fast.

I am afraid that it will go downhill from here... Let's see what happen with laplace's demon...

This episode was a beautiful one. I cried when Sakuta remembered and I love it when he tried so hard not to sleep. But it's too heavy in dialog, I couldn't even catch the long explanation Sakuta gave when he was running to the field. I feel like I need to learn the schrodinger's theory first to understand the whole thing completely.
I can also sense incest here.
Thank god no one forgets her again the next morning lol. Luckily people love to gossip.
Best couple imo. Can't wait to watch the booty girl's story next. I read on Laplace's demon and I think it's about time.

Really brave of Sakuta to go out to the front of the entire school and confess like that... The past 3 episodes could’ve almost been enough for one movie. Although, I wonder if this anime will still be good when it comes to a different girl’s problems.

Wait.... so that's it? Like problem solved? That was... underwhelming. It's nice to know how this works now, and I'm guessing why Sakuta remembers that Shoko girl is because he loves/loved her? I wonder if we'll get to that at some point.

I'm still not quite sure why they revealed that he forgot about her in the first episode, it seemed to sap quite a lot of tension from the scenes where Sakuta was desperately trying to not sleep. That said, I think the voice acting for his yelling was pretty powerful. Also I don't think I could have gone and done anything like what the main character just did.

I'm not sure of the direction the show is heading, but I'm hearing people talking arcs and different girls. Frankly I don't like the sound of that at all, but I'll cross that bridge when we get there. Hopefully this whole Adolescence Syndrome has a overarching narrative to it, and we'll actually get to the bottom of it, though 13 episodes and our current pace... we'll either not get that or it might be rushed.

All the explaining the supernatural stuff is a huge pile of rubbish, ad hoc, but it's not an SF so I'll just roll with it. Why make sense when the world around refuses?

Ever wondered why you're not the MC of an anime? It's because you're never ever gonna do what Azusagawa did there, stupid.

Lol, that score raise quickly, I had already seen the true value of this anime, guess most people were just blind and now awaken to the truth!

Really nice episode, graet ship.
Actually though this series whole ordeal was to find the solution to Mai's puberty syndrome, but that was really resolved rather fast... I can now see why people compare it to monogatari, it is going to follow its structure!

Can see your point, I though this plot would last till all the series, still I did love what I seen, I m just kinda nervous on how good/bad will the rest of the arcs be versus this one, since Mai wont be the focus anymore (supposedly she got her problem fix at this ep).

A mixed bag of an episode that suggests a massive drop off for the show.

What I definitely liked are the lead characters. They are both interesting as stand alone characters and their interactions together are the easy highlight of this show. The emotional core, the humor, the entertainment I feel with this show singlehandedly rests with them.

The rest... is not so good. I really don’t care a single bit about any of the side characters, they really just come off as walking information dumps at this point. The exposition centered around this syndrome is extremely dull and the fact the 3 episodes has had this attempt to relate this made up concept to a surface level life lesson about fighting against peer pressure and people making up lies about you has been extremely heavy handed, corny and worked against everything that works well in the show.

The final part of this episode seems to suggest that the main character goes on to now interact with other characters who have this syndrome, and honestly that just feels like such a disappointment because the show is walking away from the best aspect about it to center on the worst elements.

i think the emotional element worked for the most part however felt like they were a bit of skipped content somewhere. I say someone who read the LN ( not me someone else) says in this blog and not really hard to believe makes sense. The concept was interesting but executed not as well as it I think it should have. However, the amount of emotions he shows for an LN protagonist is quite expressive which I was surprised as I thought he would be the reserved type. The actually animation is pretty well done, nice subtle animation, quite fluid it doesn't have that stiffness alot of animes nowadays have. I mean it good they didn't beat around the bush with the romance 3 episodes and thats a wrap, they could have easily circled jerk for 12 episode until the final episode. Plus a good element these people actually have decent chemistry.
