Will joe die in the final episode

The ending of ahita no joe is arguably the single most iconic frame in anime history and has been referenced countless times to the point of being not a spoiler. The question is will this series end up paralleling it or playing with our expectations that joe will die.

Theres really no way for us to tell, so it'd at least be fun to take a guess, im assuming it will just cause its so iconic and theres already been a fair amount of foreshadowing i feel like with the constant talks of death even down to the end card saying not dead yet.

You might be right. Maybe all of this foreshadowing exists for the sole purpose of making us think that Joe is going to die when in reality nothing like that will be a thing.

There is indeed no way to tell but I think it is highly likely. Megalo is unique compared to other modern anime and the word "dead' as appeared every episode.

If it ends the same so what? Nobody cares about point a to b, we care about the journey to point a to b. (Still Joe's death was worth it as a comedic lost.)
