| Meilin is my favorite. I seriously hope she appears. I'm a huge ccs fan but when I realized that meilin probably wasn't going to be in it I felt sick to my stomach 😭😭I was obsessed with her as a kid. I love Sakura but I just always thought meilin was much cuter XD I had the flow cards and I remember playing cardcaptor meilin as a kid lol. |

| Meiling was, as others said, mentioned in the newest episode. She likely won't appear in the anime or if she does, only briefly. It is still Madhouse, not a brand new studio doing it, so they can still include anime-original stuff since this seems to be a direct sequel to the anime rather than 100% adapting the manga ergo ignoring all anime-original stuff. That said it is likely that CLAMP designed Meling and liked her and are probably fine with her being in it, CLAMP seems to recognize that they don't always have enough characters in their manga so they design or allow designs of anime-original characters. Other examples being Angelic Layer and Magic Knight Rayearth. SPEAKING OF MAGIC KNIGHT RAYEARTH! Did anyone else notice that Rika was wearing the same school uniform as Fuu from Magic Knight Rayearth?! SHE GOES TO THE SAME SCHOOL AS FUU! So I guess MKR and CCS take place in the same world. <3 <3 |
