THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.
----------------------------------------

Character designs all look similar to what shee has done before so it was a bit disappointing seeing that there is no clear improvement in adding diverse character designs to the mix in yet another monthly work from her. Plot is too complex with all these places and religions and what not though am interested in seeing what happens when both characters turn 14, if they can meet up again and bring about a peaceful revolution to the involved parties while gaining new understanding, then I think I will keep reading it, If not then it may just be the typical boring medieval story.

Artwork reminds me of FMA for sure although I'm not surprised.

Decent start so far for sure.

I loved the anime and I'd like to read the novels as well (if there was an english translation) and I was pleased with the first chapter very much. I was afraid of that her style wouldn't fit the story but seems like I was wrong.
I can't wait to read the next chapter. :))

Great first chapter...
Daryoon is cool, not as cool as Kimblee of course but that's fine.

Now all we need is a Yao Ling lookalike.

I don't think there isn't any improvement. In the scene where the king arrives to the capital, the art, the details, everything on that scene is incredible. There is an evolution in the Arakawa-sensei's art (since FMA and compared to Gin no Saji). There is another thing and is the style. An artist doesn't have to change a lot from one piece to another one, as the style evolution is not inmediate. I found the details on the art of this new work incredible, and the plot is quite promising. I'm sooo looking foward to it! :D

Very good. The characters look so similar to FMA especially Daryoon who looks like a less evil copy of Kimblee and the main duo who look like young Ed and Al. The characters seem really interesting though, especially Arslan.

Meh, it wasn't that bad, but I really expected a really catching first chapter.

Whatever, I'll try to give it a go.

As expected from Yoshiyiki Tanka. The world building seems gonna be huge here.

I have to say that I had the same worry. But the opening pages alone convinced me otherwise, so that got shaken out of my head pretty quickly.

Overall, I liked this as a first chapter. There was a lot of world-building and information to take in, but I think that's to be expected by the author. Personally, I didn't find it overwhelming or jarring, so it didn't affect negatively to my enjoyment.

Definitely going to continue to read this.

Tanaka and Arakawa should make this into an interesting read. I was not disappointed. The world building is going to be incredible.
