It's getting increasingly stupid how OP Altair is.

Stellar episode nevertheless but seriously, that Alice death made me look away in awkwardness, just another random power pulled out of Altair's ass. She got by far the most fan support to have this kind of OP-ness but that's not making it any less stupid to look at for me.

Selesia's death was insane though, that was a great surprise to see the main character (creations) die like this.

Kanoya was MVP this episode, holy fuck.

Meteora can’t defeat Altair. None of the heroes can.
As Mamika said, “Everyone is a god, so this world can’t be saved by someone who’s just a hero.”

And folks seem to think that Sota is going to bring back Shimazaki, and “poof”, Altair will be defeated. But I think the Creators of Re:Creators have shown a little more originality than that.

I don’t think we’re going to get the “Svidrigailov” results per-se.
Magane will be back, because if a hero can’t do it maybe a villain can. Especially one in league with a Creator.

Damn, this episode was entertaining as fuck, so much goosebumps, so much feels.

Hidan Altair really is the embodiment of op and I think it's good that she finally has the chance to kick ass.

R.I.P. Aliceteria you fought a brave battle. And about Selesia, I honestly have a hard time buying that she met her end.. The title of the episode can suggest both, her staying alive or just being remembered.

As Sota implied back a few episodes again, he wants to draw the anti-thesis of Altair. It's this character who will ultimately defeat Altair, not by killing her but by deconstructing her as Altair has attempted to deconstruct others; forcing her to accept that her revenge is meaningless and that her creator's suicide was ultimately a choice made on her creator's part, not forced upon her by the world at large.

A creator must have the will to see their work through, in spite of criticisms which may rise. It's how you improve. You don't throw yourself onto the fucking traintracks just because a few idiots who could be anywhere in the world think that your work is shit.

Magane will play her own part by deconstructing Altair psychologically and bullying her into a rage.

Also, worth noting that all of Selesia's spells are in Greek.

Christos Chronos literally translates to "Savior time."

Man that was really emotional, the way Altair just mocked Alice after killing her without even having to put too much effort in and then poor Selesia having to go out the way she did....hope she gets her happy end in her own world.

all these pointless deaths against an Extremely Broken Villain (how the fuck does Altair gets so many powerups only from fanarts, but the others doesn't?)

This is gonna end in a Dragon Ball level of bullshit battle Godlike vs Godlike, unless Sota somehow creates a "creation" that assembles her friend so she could stop Altair

Now does Sota have the will to see it through?

As for the deaths:
“The story continues, as long as there is someone out there, who believes in my existence.

I think Magane will play her part because Sota will "set her up" against Altair with a lie. He knows how.
And though the audience doesn't know her, the acceptance spell should still work.

If Selesia is really dead (there is the possibility she may still alive considering we didn't saw her dissapear, as small as it is), well, I'm sure didn't expected that move.

Poor Aliceteria, Altair was savage as fuck, she not only destroyed her, she even called her a secondary character as she died. That burn will last centuries.
Considering how OP Altair is, I have clearer each episode it pass Souta will be the one who will defeat her. The rest of the creations will probably get as trashed as Aliceteria.

I really didn't expected this episode have to turn out like this.

First Alicetaria, and then Selesia!!! And it might be Charon as well.

I already expected Alicetaria's death the moment she decided to solo Altair, but it still make me really sad. The reaction of her Creator.....it made the matter worst and right in the feels. That was literally me in the heart at that time LoL. Many people might not fond of Alicetaria, but for me, I really rooted for her since the beginning.

And Selesia.... the whole conversation of her with Charon + the flashback in her original story make it more sadder. And her final moments, with Matsubara, with Meteora (T_T)
I thought out of all Creations, she might be the one who will see the whole thing till the end, and not to be like what happened in this episode.

And holy shit Kanoya's hands

Idk whether to hate Altair or not at this time, since I'm always #TeamAltair before this.... but the way she just disregarded Alicetaria by calling her just a supporting role and mocked her like that..... #f@$%Altair

But one thing for sure, this episode was really sad, and I feel like crying right now (T_T)

While I agree that this anime isn't AOTS material, I'd have to say Made in Abyss isn't that much better. While Re:Creators has had it's ups and downs and Made in Abyss has been more solid and consistent, I think Re:Creators' high moments have far surpassed Made in Abyss's. I haven't watched Little Witch Academia yet though so I can't say much on that front. I'd say anime like New Game!! and Classroom of the Elite are better than these two. My Hero Academia S2 is still top-runner though.

RIP: Guts, Selesia and Charon.

Altair is a supreme villian, basically everyone turned against her and she can still defeat them easily. her powers are hax. I have a feel that Magane will be the one that will defeat her summoning Cthulhu or some other Cosmic Horror.

This episode was amazing, a 10/10. Action scenes were superb, the feels on the characters were strong. Aliceteria's creator crying upon seeing her beloved heroine killed was a punch to the hearth.

Kanoya having to sacrifice Selesia to stop Charon's super robot...

Is there a way to defeat Altair?

As I have said, no point trying to predict Magane, but as for Altair and Souta...
Altair wants the world destroyed because it denied her(self) creator. But would the creator she is trying to avenge ultimately desire so? What if she, Shimazaki (or a complete Altair, the girl that was the original concept before being turned into a military uniform princess), was to stand between Altair and her rage just like Selesia stood between Charon's ideals and his despair? Would Altair be willing to become the ultimate villain and refuse the wishes and feelings of her(s) own creator, still saying she is doing it for her? There is no one else to defeat an anomaly surpassing reality itself, but the girl caring the most for her.

Wow Altair showed her crazy side. Nice. I hope she wins and everything just ends. The OST was good.

I hate how Mecha Boys mecha was pretty much useless and made out of paper. I was hoping his mecha would be badass. Yes his abilities looked strong, but why was his arm cut off so easily? Especially since he appears to have a really strong physical connection, probably stronger then in Evangelion. I mean his hand was bleeding? He was still pretty good character wise this episode.

Magical Eroge girl randomly kicked charons Mech away just to give us a panty shot. Also she gave a perfect explanation why every harem MC ever never chooses any girl - he doesnt want to hurt the feelings of others (ahahaha). Or maybe was it a hint towards "most passive MC ever" boy?

Oh yes Alice is probably dead, Selesia and Charon too. When did this turn so "dark"?

Also where is Magane? Pls dont tell me second best girl wont interfere anymore?

Only 3 more episodes and this is finally over! Seriously this is WAY too long imo. This was probably one of the best episodes this season.

PS: For anyone who was drunk or sleeping during the entire anime - This battle is just fanservice, MC Boy will be the key to defeat Altair.

Also give us Mamika back. PLEASE

PPS: How in the name of madoka can anyone complain about Altair beeing OP?! Tis is not some shounen bullshit, she is supposed to be. Thats her entire existence. she is totally made up of fanfictions and gathers all the OPness from the internet. While the others even with powerups still have some sort of background story to limit them.

Wonderful episode here. In one single episode, they managed to develop Selesia's entire relationship with Charon, and in the process explain just why his appearance made her hesitate at the most crucial moment.

It also made good on showing just how powerful Altair is with her unique cheat of seemingly transferring her fatal injuries over to Aliceteria without even batting an eyelash, and how persuasive her brainwashing was to make Charon actually believe that he could use her to save his world if he helped her.

Alice is most definitely gone, she completely glitched out there. Seeing her creator's reaction to her death was kinda heartrending there.
As for Selesia, well, until we see the aftermath of her and Charon's mech explosion, I'm not holding too high a hopes... unless Meteora actually has some sort of backup teleportation-esque thingy..... I think it all depends on if we see their mechs glitching out next episode.

After this, I expect it will be up to the fans of that event to participate somehow, and for the rest of the remaining cast to hold out until Souta's creation finishes things off.... Plus... Magane hasn't come back to laugh at Altair's face yet.

Expecting more deaths next week though.

Yeah it's legit going to be a major ass pull to defeat Altair at his point especially since she's really putting her reality breaking powers on full display right now. The only person who can essentially defeat Altair is Magane since it would be reality breaker vs logic breaker.

Selestia and Alicetaria's deaths.......I downright don't like. Their are many deaths I'll accept but this is not one of them.

Seeing them die like this.....if their stories ( Alicetaria of the Scarlet and Elemental Symphony of Vogelchevalier) were real, and I saw this Elimination Chamber Festival happened in real life, I would never accept it(not this kind of death or settings).

Like, even if this is all over,

Where would that leave in their respective stories? I read their next novels/volume, only to learn they died in a crossover event? Bullshit.

Example:
It's like if One Piece, Boku no Hero Academia, and Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei did a crossover and their MC's (Luffy, Izuku/Deku, Tatsuya) die in the crossover......what kind of taste would that leave? Especially when the crossover is over.

y'all, my tears have grown sentient and are typing this post for me.

I DIDN'T THINK IT COULD GET WORSE FROM THE FIRST HALF.
I WAS W R O N G

the obvious aside, the animation change this episode was SUPER obvious. but the funny thing is, what i noticed first wasn't the inconsistency; i noticed the remarkably high quality parts but it was only midway through that i really began to notice some of the low quality frames. it's whatever, though. like, up until now they've really pulled out all the stops animation-wise - i really can't begrudge them this. if anything, this whole time i've been wondering how in the HELL they've managed to keep the standard so high.

on a related note, did altair's character change slightly? i think it was mostly in the eyes. i don't know, they just seemed far more piercing than usual. also i noticed in general the line art (for everyone) felt thinner and crisper, and also they went to town with giving everyone lines under/around the eyes. (not a critique; it's a style i enjoy.) was there a guest animator/storyborder/director for this episode, i wonder...

all that aside there's one particular moment i want to talk about

jesus fucking CHRIST was a great episode

anyway if you need me i'm busy drilling holes in my bedroom floor to drain out all these damn tears

this is interesting, actually. there was something about her powers that lingered on my mind this whole time but i couldn't really pinpoint it until i read your comment; whether accidental or on purpose this feels like such a strong statement on headcanon. how you can end up morphing someone's creation into something completely unrecognisable... and completely ridiculous (in altair's case, being waaay too op).

sometimes headcanon does a lot of good, granted, but sometimes... it can end up like this.

idk i do kinda doubt that they made this symbolism on purpose though, since as far as i know the idea of headcanon seems to be a western concept mostly
