SDF has guns, helis, tanks, RPGs etc. knowing the prince is up to no good, you guys still keep on slacking.. for godsake show them who's the boss around here and bomb the shit out of this prince. Problem could've been solved a alot earlier than actually was. Why wait for this and that? knowing all kinds of problem the prince is causing already, you guys just want to prolong the anime. Cuz really for me if SDF has all these advance technology then seriously where's the problem to start with? If imperial doesn't want peace then simply kill them all, the imperial should know better if they won't make peace.

the JSDF were the good guys, i doubt good guysll make that decision. and also supposedly this was a PR thing as said on a 'season 3' thread.

honestly this feels evil. i dont know why i liked it. nothing great in particular, i just like it.

it feels like an old simspons 'subliminal message navy' episode where they brainwashed people into joining.

well, we are talking about anime anyways hahahaha, that's what they do they make small white problems to a big black one which could've been solved off easily. But they also need money so, we can't really force it to how we want it to go xD that's just being narcissistic.

You should do some research about the JDSF. They are a peacekeeping military force, a disaster relief force, they intervene in times of crisis, after tsunamis or earthquakes, to search for survivors, clean and rebuilt the place. They aren't a attack force and never were. They are the only army that never killed anyone in the whole world.
In the minds of the Japanese, they aren't soldiers. It's only natural that in that work of fiction, they try to use other 'persuasion methods' than mass destruction.

if they would have done what u suggested then JAP ppl or that world ppl or both, all would see them as Villains, bad guys, that's how world works, if u don first prove hes bad & go after him then u are seen as bad guy, & ppl believe prince & JAP ppl don't always hear awry-thing it would be mess where a lot of ppl in both sides would see them as villains if they don't do it by the book, so if u want to help the world not by the book u half to be prepared to accept Villain title & live ur hole life on the run

It was obvious that Nihon is here described as peace-loving and diplomatic country which cares about their citizens more than anything. In the first season we could see diplomatic meeting in Tokyo where JSDF was accused of fighting against the dragon and they ended up loosing many civilian victims... So basicaly Nihon doesn't want to make any neccesary conflict and rather trying to solve everything in peace and diplomatically... Which is quite understandable, because wise rulers of nations will try always find peace way than neccesary war/massacre
