| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I didn't read the actual scan, but read the summary. A postcard about Kenji and Asami married and moved to Okinawa. Yamato and Mei read the interview that he took with Megu together. They noticed who she is in love now. Megu finds Kai at the gym because he works as an instructor. The issue is popular, and even invited Yamato as the photographer of her photo book. Mei is happy. He became popular with this experience that they don't really have time to spend time together. Then confession on the phone. Mei crying out of happiness. Megu is invited to Paris Fashion Week. They are married and lives happily ever after in a house, with a baby boy and prepares to go to Okinawa for Asami's baby. |

| Beautiful, fulfilling and a very wholesome ending, to sum it all up! Yamato and Megumi managed to go to even greater heights together and that was wonderfully conveyed! Megumi finally achieved her dream too and seeing Kai’s happiness over it was very heartwarming. Even the final few moments of the Chapter were sweet, I’m sure Kai will get around to noticing and accepting Megumi’s feelings sometime. Speaking of Megumi’s feelings, I can’t believe she said all that in the interview. Lol @ Yamato and Mei’s reaction though, they’ll definitely take a while. *face palm* Yamato, the “Pretty Boy Photographer” though lol. Things are looking a lot more bright for him too, and that’s great to see! But that’s not the main thing, I got to give it to his method of proposing here lmao. Mei started the day off hastily and on a bad note but in reality it was just the making of one of the most memorable days for her. Lovely! Lol, dat face though xD. Loved how she thought back to her parents and her miserable life before the coincidental meeting with Yamato and co too. And then finally the most anticipated Marriage, and it was delivered effortlessly! I was hoping to see shots of a lot more characters, such as Megumi and the Kurosawas for one, but still seeing Mei’s mother there along with her former classmates was more than good enough. Finally ending off with the short aftermath scene with their little boy was amazing! Great stuff, very wholesome indeed as such! Inner monologues of this Chapter totally delivered, even more so than the previous few and that’s a cool feat by itself. “The things that are important to you, you make for yourself.” is a really good final message from the manga too, loved it! Kanae Hazuki-san’s little note in the end was a really nice read too, I’m sure her mother is proud of her! All in all, it’s been an amazing series! I watched the anime adaption a couple years back before rewatching half a year back or so, but it wasn’t until a couple weeks back that I decided to actually binge the whole of the remaining Chapters. I was gutted and infuriated that this didn’t get an English translation but I’m very thankful now! Got to say though, keeping us on hold on Chapter 55 wasn’t the smartest of ideas. In my opinion, the manga was kind of losing its momentum there but I’m glad it quickly picked up right after. I’m a little surprised we didn’t get to see much of the Rin family after Aoi’s proposal and etc, I was sure the writer would take those Characters to somewhere. I mean, for one thing, we know that the younger twin is flourishing worldwide but what about the other twin? What about Megumi’s best friend, the one who’s always been around with her from childhood and was there for her throughout her stay in Japan before leaving to France? I thought she might’ve been the editor but I’m not really sure myself actually. I’ll just think consider her to be the editor for now. Maybe I’ll binge this manga (again) some other time and then find out once and for all. Also, some of the timeskips were a bit hard to tell apart but they were nothing too much of a biggie on the grand scale of things. Overall, solid 9/10! |
