| If it was Yuri, it would be labeled as such. It's shounen, so you could possibly expect suggestive "playfulness" or "friendliness" between girls because it's targeted at young men, but that doesn't make it Yuri ;P In the case of the OP and advertising art, it's a stylistic thing, not implying they're in love. |

It's just fanservice. There is no romantic involvement between main characters (Suzui, Yumeko, Mary) yet. Nevertheless, it has girl x girl, boy x girl relationships between supporting characters. |

| It's not yuri. It's excess. Just pure excess. The ludicrous amounts of money. The severe grip of gambling addiction and the way it can drag people into depravity. The hypersexualization of it all seems quite appropriate to me. |

In the manga series, Kakegurui, the hierarchy of the school creates a gambling system where if one loses all their money, their rank and title are immediately demoted to that of a "house pet." Yumeko, the protagonist, is demoted at that rank and must climb up back to get her status and so on. With that in mind, that's 220 minutes worth of time saved without going too much into detail. Oh I know that. I was saying I didn't really know what it had to do with characters being over-exaggerated to the point of making ahegao-like faces. lol |

Pretty much, yeah. I mean, the payoff of this adaptation isn't gonna sit with you very well, along with the rest of the posters on this thread. Take my word for it since I read the manga and the same thing is repeated over and over again. It's not School Days bad or Gundam SEED Destiny bad or, Dear God, Boku no Pico bad, but I wouldn't recommend watching this because people are gonna hate it. Totally fine, and what you've said is both true and understandable. Thanks for helping me understand what you've meant, btw. :) |
