| Hello Everyone, I've been doing a lot of maintenance lately and have decided that it's time to freshen up the clubs' profile images. All three sisters will be getting a change of scenery. At the time of their creation Hipira-kun, Toaru Majutsu no Index-tan, and Madobe Nanami were all very popular for their respective types but it's 2017 and now's the time to let new shows shine. So I am asking everyone to please comment in this thread what anime[s] should be used to represent the club[s] from their club lists. You can pick your favorite or you can pick something that gives the best feeling of what a Short, or Special, or Commercial is. Explaining your reasoning is encouraged, as is quoting someone to +1 a suggestion. Example post/reply Short: Teekyuu b/c there are a lot of gag anime made lately and this thing has like 8+ seasons so obviously it's popular in Japan. Special: Carnival Phantasm b/c I love Type-Moon stuff and this one is so funny!! Commercial: Zeonic Toyota Special Movie is clearly the best choice. It has frickin' Char and Gundams and is a car commercial. How much more "commercial" can you get than this 10/10 perfect anime. I'm going to allow suggestions to flow in for the next 2-3 months before doing the final selection, creating the image, and upgrading the clubs. |

There are some "related to a parent show" type anime in the Short Club and it's a whole bunch of convoluted rules of how borderline anime get segregated. So it was just easier for me to link to the Specials club and say pick something off that list. |

| Teekyuu is a great choice. I'd nominate in descending order, shorts: 1. I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying lovelovelovelove love love love 2. Oshiete! Galko-chan Ranking anime by "how much did I miss it when it was over," this would be waaaaay up there 3. Ojisan to Marshmallow Hilarious... maybe not a good choice for group icon though 4. Tonari no Seki-kun Legendary Special: I'd pick something more obscure, but a popular one I liked is Overlord: Ple Ple Pleiades And ads: JRA Hokan Keikaku, because horse Eva. Or if the most frequent suggestions are SoL anime (like Honobono Log, Danna ga Nani, etc.), I'll choose the one that got the highest MAL rating or most Completed #. When all else fails I'll do a basketball bracket with a random number generator. The vote system is incredibly difficult to do as seen in other clubs, so few people actually come back to vote so it's quite skewed. |

| Short: Daicon Opening Animations - Because is the most iconic short in general - or - Inaka Isha - Because Koji Yamamura is probably the best short anime creator imo - or - Shashinkan - Because it's a cute short, and I think it's (relatively) well-known Commercial: Cross Road - Because it's Makoto Shinkai, his shorts are better than his movies imo, and they're popular - or - Kyoto Animation commercials - Well, Kyoto Animation is popular - or - +1 Zeonic Toyota Special Movie – For the very same reason you mentioned, I couldn't have said it better myself ;) |
| Shorts: 1. Teekyuu Has lot of seasons, well known, extremely funny and It's kind of like a gentle wind. It's kind of like a delicious rice cake. It's kind of like a clamorous city. It's kind of like a precious everyday. 2.Saiki Kusuo One of the more recent ones. Has (probably) the highest score of all the short series in MAL. |

| Shorts: Seconding Saiki Kusuo. It's popular. It's a JUMP adaptation. It's hilarious. Though it'll be hard to find a nice picture for it since the show isn't exactly known for its stellar art. Or, Tabihito no Nikki. It's prettier and more chilled out. Also I feel like it it's more representative since most shorts are independent works of artistic exploration with less focus on commercial success. Specials: Any chibi version of a well-known/recognisable series would be good. Gives the omake sort of feeling whilst clearly separating it from Shorts and Commercials. Possibly FMA? Commercials: Mottainai The animation is beautiful and the message is positive. It has that right glossy TV-worthy 'commercial' look. You can make a really nice club picture from any random still tbh. Or, Suntory's Your Name mineral water ad since the whole world seems to have a boner for Kimi no Na wa. It's also pretty and the Suntory logos makes it super obvious that it's a commercial. Also also also, I'm happy to help you make a nice uniform set of display pictures at the end depending on what the winners are (: |

| Main club got Senyuu. The main theme was that people requested Comedy anime. So I went with a pun. Giraffe-kun is long but we specialize in shorts. Physical humor is always a good catch-all too. Specials club got the Isekai Quartet cover. The chibi parody specials are so common now like Lemon said that a mega cross over anime with so many franchises seemed like the best option to represent them. Commercials club got Akuma no Kimuraa. The most requested was super duper pretty looking CMs. But when trying to make a club image due to size restrictions they ended up looking like dogshit. So I started running down the list of which ones where high rated that weren't pretty looking and Akuma no Kimuraa fit the bill. Hardcore death metal ramen. |
