This episode felt really refreshing tbh. Riding near the sea, enjoying the mountain view, and eating seafood.

Nice. I liked the pacing of the episode combined with the bike riding. Episode made me kinda hungry ;o

Seems the long distance cycling still isn't Amy's thing yet.
And she is using the wrong cycle as well.
Still she is getting there.

Very nice episode.

Love the cycling with the scenic view, It's really refreshing and kinda relaxing as well. Gambare Ami!
I would love to take a trip like this too, Though that would mean buying a cycle and doing enormous amounts of physical exercise. I guess I'll stay content with watching it. :P
Honestly though, The amount of stamina needed to ride 55km in itself is insane, Not to mention that the seniors rode to the starting point and are even riding back home, Just what kind of resilience do they have?
The people at Tour de France must be monsters. XD

Main event- Beach View was great, Would love to see more sunset and night scenic views as well. Hopefully we get some in the following episodes.
That picture and Ami's smile at the end were adorable. :)

Ami is amazing, i hope someday when she decided change her bike someone tell her she do the double efford with Ponta-kun in the 55km. Ponta is not made for long distances is a huge different between a road bike.

That was pretty cool. It makes me want to fix the tires on my mountain bike.

At one point I wanted one of the other girls to say to Ami, "That pain you feel in your butt is you developing a nice ass! Keep it up!"

Haha, I know how Ami feels when she gets those muscle aches. That also happens to me from time to time when I go out cycling for about 15-20 km with no breaks.

They rode for 55km? Geez, even I can't do that. The most I've done in a single day is about 35km and by that point, I was really tired and my legs felt like it was locked. It would have been more impressive if they actually rode for 55km straight with no breaks in some restaurant :P.

Ahh, that hill. Cyclists' worst enemy. When I see an inclined hill, I either get out of my bike and just walk with my bike or I set my gear to 1. If I want to conserve my energy on a long run then I just do the former.

5/5 My 3rd best Slice of Life Anime this season and I'm loving this anime. I also use my bike everyday so this anime feels right home to me.

It is amazing A) how vapid this show is and B) how much I still love it, bad CG aside. I don't remember the last time I liked a non-sequel this much after only two episodes.

I guess I found my series about “girls doing stuff” for this season... For some reason, out of all the ones airing this season, I seem to be enjoying this one the most.

Pretty chill episode, just like the previous one. So far, I like Aoi’s character the best: calm, mindful, and supportive.

Only flaw found in the episode, is the dramatic decrease in the quality of the designs, not very incisive in well describe the emotions felt by the characters. Another small little defect, but secondary, are the scenarios that could really make better the viewing experience during the narration. An entirely different view the soundtrack, really fitting in various situation and very catchy. Overall, it promotes once again the episode, as a minimum growth in every sense there was. Ami is really hilarious.

Oh god I find Ami absolutely cute! That moment when she finally got to the top of the hill and ran to Hinako complaining was both hilarious and adorable!
Her "Usotsuskieeee" was so damn funny!

The other three did well in their supporting roles as well. And with those types of ocean views, it's pretty damn hard not to be enticed to pick up riding.

Hinako and Yayoi are amazing and have impressive stamina. Their whole trip was 210 kilos or around 130 miles. While Aoi/Ami went for 55 kilos. It would have been too much for Ami if she had returned back home riding another 55 kilos.

Hinako explaining to Ami how she burned calories and Ami thought was gonna gain weight by eating that huge bowl of ramen.
Well she would gain weight if all she did was eat and no exercise, especially if ate that bowl at night.

I don't know if stationary bikes count but the ones where I workout at made my butt feel sort of sore at first. I got used to them after a while.

The gear Hinako/Yayoi had on looked pretty good. I wonder if the fabric is the same as the compression training shirts.

Oh and the steep bridges Ami was having trouble with reminded me of Japan's Eshima Ohashi bridge.

I like it so far, but I feel as though the Voice Acting is really lacking. Imo it feels like Touyama (voicing Ami) is the only one putting in any real effort into breathing life into her character, and the syncing of mouth movement with talking seems a little off too.
That said, I will still watch this, as I always love anime about topics I don't come across often, in this case its about bikes and riding.

First off, everyone but Ami were using bike shorts. They do have a chamois in the pants. It does vary between men and women's style. Ami just had a pair of cargo short. Not good for distance riding. Also Ami had the stock commuter style saddle (as it's really called). Also not good for long distances. Let's just say that the folding bike is not designed for anything but commuting.
I do believe there was a picture out there of Ami with a road bike and her in a riding outfit. We'll need to find that.

Those QUALITY though, can't blame them for the amount of shit they had done with the production of Regalia anime that it resulted to this

Well as for me at least I enjoy some of the sceneries lol, must be good to ride on those places except when riding uphill, I used to stand while cycling when riding uphill to keep up with my speed but also tiring in any sense :P

What Ami is doing is "Skip level".
She's forcing herself to match the Veteran riders, thus would definitely stress herself causing sure muscle aches afterwards the long 55km trip.
The proper way to do that is to go with your pace, which is slowly increasing the distance of your ride, not forcing yourself to quickly be the level of other veteran riders.
4/5.

Who even gets out of bed like that in the first place though when there's nothing preventing them from getting out from the side?

The journey is nice, but they skimp on the visuals a lot. I'd rather just watch sketches from storyboards and call it a day if they're gonna do this.

worst episode than first!!!

In this episode, the girls decides to enjoy a day on the bicycle doing a tourist route of 55 kms!!!!

This episode don´t has something to stand out, on the contrary, the draw is worst and the plot is boring!!!

Already better than Minami Kamakura Koukou Joshi Jitensha Bu. I like how they are going sightseeing while cycling, it's always fun to explore new places.

Though, they made it pretty rough ride for a newcomer, 55km ride is way too long for a start (not to mention it was pretty hilly terrain). It's not too long when riding whole day with at least some pauses but it's always a bad idea to try keep after pro-riders. The cycling is the best when it's being done casually, not in pursuit of given number of driven distance.

But overall, this was pretty nice slice of life episode.

In this episode, the problems are the same: graphically it has deteriorated further in terms of the quality of the drawings, but the animations and CG are no less. Too bad also for the scenographies that do not give credit to an anime that talks about cycling, removing the magic that is made by cycling is to discover and enjoy landscapes and new places. At the story level, however, everything goes smoothly, with the protagonist who, after having started to know the world of bicycles, in the previous episode, now takes a further step forward, knowing better herself and the context in which she entered which is that of bicycle. Excellent comedy thanks not only to Ami but also to the character of Hinako.

Well, it was definitely worth it. What a beautiful scenery. Ami couldn't be any happier.

55km is a lot for a beginner. She did a great job.

Cute picture. The girls had a wonderful day together. ^^
