so i do enjoy the series and i was thinking maybe ill buy the first 12 episodes but I didn't realize that each volume is almost $100 a pop (blu-ray) and there is six of them! that would be $600. does anyone know if there is a complete collection coming out that would be cheaper because at this rate i really cant see why people would buy them for that much, doesn't matter how good the show is, its seems a little over priced

This is how Japanese media is priced. They buy it.

Anime BD/DVD are for the dedicated buyers, selling at a low price has been proven not to work.
Just wait for a western release that should be cheaper (unless it's by aniplex).

I sure hope there aren't people out there who would be willing to spend $600 on this series. If so, what's wrong with them?

There are people who will buy a $400-600 set of BDs of a bad LN adaptation, sad to say.

That's just the way things are in Japan. Wait for FUNi/Sentai to release it for $60 for the North American market in a handful of months.

I'm assuming these come out monthly? If so, think of the typical worker. It's just roughly $80 off their monthly savings. ( I am thinking in terms of Yen btw)

Roughly 8000 Yen would be: 4 orders of pizza (pizza is really expensive unless you get generic "homestyle" ones so more homecooking, one or two nights at a bar (with talk girls), 15 x-rays, or 8 bentos....

A typical American will spend $40-100 on alcohol alone and a AAA game costs nearly $80 for DLC crap and can turn out total crap (that one Batman game)... really if you think of the vices people spend money on... these BDs are no different and it seems pretty obvious that the target market are those that don't spend much on the mentioned stuff (except for maybe pizza since they have no one prob. to cook for them), so it seems like a good market strategy... and for this anime with all the near H scenes... I'm sure it'll sell

Go to Japan and see the prices yourself, the anime merchandise have always been expensive and trust me I thought it would be cheaper but afraid not.

You do know the Japan market is desiring this sort of anime series hence why more and more series are similar to this. Think of Shinmai Maou no Testament which was the 1st to be on extreme but this one just triumphs to more of hentai level
