sinbad no bouken is based on a spinooff manga about sinbad
the description on mal makes me think it's more of a prequel
if you like the magi, then just watch it if you havent already >_> in the time you wait for replies you could have started it

no sinbad no bouken is a spinoff version of magi, magi: the labyrinth of magic tells a completely different story if you'd read the synopsis... there is no sequel as of yet to sinbad no bouken

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is the first season of the main story. It's followed by Magi: The Kingdom of Magic. After those two came out they went back and made Magi: Sinbad no Bouken as a prequel.

So you watched them out of order, if you go by release date, but in order according to the timeline. As far as if there's a continuation to Sinbad, I'm not sure, haven't got to it yet, but he is in the main story as well.

If you want to continue the story in Sinbad no Bouken, then you'll have to read the Sinbad no Bouken manga. As others have said, it's a spin-off of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic.

You should watch the main series before continuing Sinbad no Bouken though since it's a spin-off prequel that was released after season 2 of Magi. Sinbad in the main series already accomplished his goals of clearing dungeons and establishing his own country, so you won't see more of Sinbad's beginnings in it.

The 5 episodes series was an OVA who adapted the first two arcs of the series.

Then they decided to do a one cour TV series of 13 episodes adapting the first chapter of the manga (who was unadapted in the OVA) + the arcs adapted in the OVAs and some other arcs who weren't featured in them.

If you are going to start the series, don't bother with the OVAs and watch the 13 episodes series, as they have the same content than them (without any change) and are longer.

I know this may not matter but the reason why im making this post is that im not going to watch the other magi till im able to see Sinbad complete his adventure. I don't want to go from seeing Sinbad straight to "his adventure is complete" ill watch the others when im able to continue the story line like normal. Im just posting this as my opinion and hoping to inspire the creators to make another season. edit: I don't read the manga because reading doesn't inspire me and I can't get as emotionally attached to the characters
