| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Wow, shit got serious, and a civil/proxy war is about to break out. It'll be interesting to see what happens if it winds up being a full-scale 19th-century siege; how the academy will manage logistically, how they'll manage to round up loyal troops. But I have a feeling it won't get to that stage, for one reason: even if it didn't actually materially hurt the coupists, the massacre at the gate must have terrified them. I've got to say, though, you only need to undertake such decisive moves in a coup d'état when you know that you won't get support from some elements of the existing government, and the author didn't really address that. The elder prince is looking pretty desperate and lonely. Also, good to see that the cavalry division being abolished is just a rumor—that wouldn't make sense, since cavalry (for reconnaissance) weren't obsolete for a long time after barbed wire and modern rifles came around (it took until they could be replaced by vehicles, and cheaply too). |

| It's good that they were able to holdout that one attack but I'm afraid it was only a superficial victory. Now they are going to have to deal with siege warfare it seems. I really can't wait to see what happens. |
