| Episode could be renamed: The meaning of White Knighting, naww I kid. That was indeed a pretty slick move there. I'm just glad he didn't try out his new magic skill, that probably wouldn't (and shouldn't) have ended well! I already had the idea that our cute battle maids were far far more powerful than the show was letting up so far. The way that Roswaal addresses them is with a healthy dose of mutual respect, despite the fact that they are his servants. That's Roswaal who seems like the kind of guy who can justify his ridiculous attire and overall appearance by the grace of being mighty. Then there is Ram who we already know is very proficient with several kinds of magic. Talking of Roswaal's attire, I wonder how his suit is going to stay intact when he flies at supersonic speeds like that... There's a lot of questions that I as a viewer am starting to ask myself, and not because the show is asking them directly. (a form of bad writing that plagues anime) I want to see where this leads, where it ends... And the ride is becoming more tense and more enjoyable. Even our *dangerously* genre savvy protagonist is growing on me. |
| I like to think that he made his servants believe he'd meet his appointment in that, ruin it on the flight there and then magically conjure a clown's suit and rock that instead. All planned in advance |
