Lol more competition between the girls with the cranes.

I think the series is putting more emphasis on the gorilla toy than I had expected though...

HOLE HOOK!

This episode teaches us the importance of holes by using the crane game as an allegory. It relays an important messages to humans that holes are important in life. If it were not for holes, we won't exist in the first place! Think about it. Just like a the crane grabs onto the hole tightly, man clasps on a hole firmly till he enjoys himself. If this excitement won't be there life is futile.

Will a donut be called a donut without a hole? A manhole is not complete without the hole. The same is the case for black hole.

Thus, you cant be whole without a hole.

Seriously what the fuck man. This anime is killing my NoDrop instincts
I don't know why people write that they are approachable persons,
if you were you wouldn't be on MAL.

Extended families or lovers on MAL are a farce.

There are so many pertinent life lessons in this series. In this episode, we see the problem with falling back on others for help, and not taking the initiative to achieve your goals. This was juxtaposed with also understanding the power of unity and team work. Personal effort is essential in getting things done, but sometimes we have to work with others to achieve the highest results. Mirai learned this the hard way, but her character will certainly grow in light of these revelations.

I don't know what it is but I keep coming back to this anime. It might be because I have nothing to do and its a really short anime, but I keep watching it even thought is painful to look at.

there is a fundamental flaw with your theory. This anime short is postmodern in nature. The crane game ceases to remain an allegory and instead is pure simulcrum. Here in this case even the reality of the original crane game disappears and holes are just subtext for the impending hyperreal environment.

Do think about this line of thinking.

What the hell am i doing here, i dont even watch this show :/

Oh yes they are self-aware but at the same time, this proves how stupid the concept is. Oh well the girls are cute so its ok.

It kinda sucked they're just reusing the same moving meteor scene tho.

I thought there would be a different scene for different techniques, such as the beam picks the meteor from the sides and move it or something.
