Like I understand that a trap was placed but why. Like for what purpose of this trap made the episode end intensely.
I ACTIVATE MY TRAP CARD!!!

Because he realized he has been played? why shouldn't it be intense, I don't really get your question.

It's called a "cliffhanger", it's a plot device to get people to come back next ep.

He is asking why was he played ? What's the reason or purpose behind setting such a trap for him ? I'm sure we'll get more explanation next episode

you know most things in fiction have a thing called climax at the end where it gets intense
but i am pretty sure that is a really hard concept to follow

Probably to send the Colonel (who was trying to make D-agency fail) a message. Don't mess with us or you'll get one upped.

bc he realized they 1) roped MC into committing suicide if nothing is found, then 2) pretended not to find something so he'll be expected to commit suicide. kinda a dumb question but I hope this helps haha

I was confused at first, but he doesn't work for D-Agency, he came from the army. The army was certain that Gordan had some form of evidence of him being a spy, but the director of D-Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Yuuki was almost certain that there was none or at least he was trying to convince him that it was a worthless mission, but he insisted that it was an official mission from the army to D-Agency. Hence, there's definitely something shady about D-Agency or they just prefer to work on their own terms despite being linked with the army. Just pointing it out there in-case anyone else was lost at the end like me lol.

our unfortunate soldier Sakuma so happened to stumble upon a group of conniving backstabbers. The first part of the episode explained the concept of Joker Game, and Sakuma did not realize that he was still playing the Joker Game during the investigation of the foreigner's home. (ARE YOU EVEN JAPANESE!?! YOU'RE NOT TAKING YOUR SHOES OFF LOL, the english VA is pretty good)

Sakuma will have to think of a way to escape his predicament. I highly doubt he'll die since psychological games like this I believe are better with a clueless buffoon of innocence and purity who eventually themselves learn the ropes. The alternative would be to have an equally conniving backstabber.

I feel that although it's during the time of World War II, this is just the author's way of sending them off to different scenarios and having Joker Game in it.

Definitely reminded me of Liar Game

Yes, it looks like the agency is sending him a message. I wouldn't think they'll push through with him sending himself to 'meet his comrades' soon.

This is what I think will happen.. the whole investigation scene is the application of the Joker Game.

Sakuma had just situated himself with Yuuki's question, "What are you going to do if you were found out by the enemy?"

Not sure why you needed to make a thread about this when you could've asked in the episode 1 discussion thread. Unless you're looking for spoilers, then that wouldn't be allowed. But honestly, you're not being straight as to what you're asking here.

Please don't make a thread for every single time an episode ends.
