It was looking much better than I thought it would due to TMS being in charge but then got to the robot suit.. Looks quite stiff and cheap. Hate it when studios use low budget CG, wish we could get more CG of the same quality as Production I.G.

That sounds like insanely quick judgment based on very limited information.

The power suit looks alright to me and the shading is especially great. It's simply making a deliberate gesture. If you really think there won't be much faster movements during the actual combat sequences, then you need to learn about studio Orange's record first.

Knowing that, I can bet that this will have better CG than Production I.G's Gargantia or Sunrise's Valvrave. Gargantia in particular had incredibly jarring movement during both space and ground/sea battles.

I'm loving the character design of the scarred dude, he looks like a likeable asshole. Not a fan of every girl having a constant blush, though. Anyways, still waiting for a more meaty PV to know what to expect exactly, but either way I'll definitely give it a shot.

5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

^ I hate split cour so much cause we always get left with a cliff hanger and I'm left feeling anxious about what happens next for three whole months.

I'm so hyped for this Code Geass R1 is probably like my favorite anime of all time...wish I could say the same for R2 though.

The song in the second PV is nice. Then again, I like Akino's performances. It's a fairly hot-blooded theme, all things considered, which is the exactly the right kind of mood you'd honestly expect for a project like this.

I'd hope you are the only one, since this project has almost nothing in common with either of those, especially not with Valvrave. The premise and characters are unrelated. There is no war, there are no space vampires, etc. The main character already seems to be of at least college age, as a young adult rather than a teenager.

If you want to draw more reasonable comparisons, then try to think about Tiger and Bunny or maybe even Patlabor (perhaps not the films, which were more serious, but the TV series). That's a lot closer to what this new work is aiming to become.

For the record, I do happen to like Code Geass Akito myself, but that is actually a completely different production made by a whole separate collection of staff members. The tone is a lot darker, whereas this is clearly a lot lighter. I am not expecting anything similar, since everything suggests it's different.
