Favorite character
| Discuss your favorites here: PLEASE DON'T TURN THIS INTO A HATE THREAD. I want this thread to be about love. Hate just brings negativity in and starts flame wars and MAL has enough of that. If someone likes a character you don't, please no bashing of that person OR their character. If you want to talk about what your favorite character does in the manga, please spoiler tag it; as not all of us have caught up. I'm trying. Okay, so it's pretty obvious but my favorites are Yuu and Shinoa (hard to choose between them, really but maybe Yuu a little more) I like Yuu because he's one of those hot-headed, passionate, emotional characters who is loyal to the core and will put his life aside to protect those he cares for. He has flaws, troublesome ones, but his other traits are so endearing that I can overlook them. I love his seiyuu and his sense of humor and his black hair and strong green eyes. He's attractive in all kinds of ways. Whenever he starts crying, I get all mushy and go "AWWWW" and sometimes cry with him. He's a sweetheart. :3 (I'm a sentimental wuss) I like Shinoa for several reasons: 1.Snarky. 2. Cute Design 3. SHE'S SHORT. 4. Scythes are badass Like....I dunno, as soon as I saw her, I liked her. XD I always end up liking short characters cause I'm also short. :p She cracks me up. I like how she teases literally everyone. I think she reminds me a bit of myself. And she's good at taking charge when she has to. The way she handled everything in episode 9 was awesome, imho. I don't think I could do that. I'd be way too scared. Actually, I couldn't handle the Seraph universe at all. I'd be so f*cked. lol These kids have major guts. So...yeah, those are my favorites and my reasons. |

| Hard to choose. There are interesting characters like Guren and Shinya as well as Yuu(not so interesting but at least likeable). But I guess I'll vote Shinoa, her character never fail to amuse me and so far she's the character I favorite her the most in OnS. I even consider whether to include her in my MAL favourite character list, but that requires to kick one of a girl =( |

| Krul because of her legs I also like Mitsuba and Asuramaru for their beautiful legs, and Shinoa because of her personality |
| Guren is my daddy. That is all. I also like Shinya because of his voice and design, Iwasaki because of Hirarin, and Shihou because of his glasses. |
| Shinya is probably the only character I truly like. He's cool. I also feel kinda attracted to Kimizuki and Guren. The rest is a bunch of annoying and depressing kids. |

| Mika. I like his character design, he is a good and fast learner (Kagami has said that he is a natural talent as he can read, drive and fight very well), can lose his cool in many situations (I find this cute for some reason), I like how he loves Yuu so much (I understand where he is coming from, like I believe if we all were in his shoes we would be the same for a member of our family) but at the same I think this "yuu-vision" like thing limits him to actually accept people like the Shinoa team. I can see why he doesn't trust them (yet?) but they have also shown signs of concern and care towards him, and he as well seemed concered about them in the new chapter, which makes me believe he might start realizing these people are good and care about yuu. Anyways, Mika is Mika. That's enough for me lol. Shinya follows. Then Shinoa, Yuu and Krul. I also like Crowley more after I read about his past in the Michaela novel. Edit: Since this is a character popularity poll, I hope you don't mind posting the official results of the one that took place. 1. Mika 2. Shinoa 3. Yuu 4. Guren 5. Shinya 6. Krul 7. Mitsuba 8. | Among other reasons, Guren is by far the character with the most substance, so he easily takes my vote. |

| Definitely Guren, he probably has the most backstory. I definitely got attached to him. He's a badass, but he cares for the people that are close to him, even if he doesn't show it. Not gonna spoil anything, but I feel so bad for him too, so it's hard not to like him lol |

| Mika... (reason is a repost) I think I figured out why I love Mika, He was a very cheery and smart young boy, taking the big brother role in the orphanage, even after being taken to the vampire city did he'd basically sell himself to make sure everyone had food and lived. Then when he watched the smaller children die and faced an NDE which ended up with him being turned into something he loathed, he stayed alive to find the person he cares most for (Yuu obvs) and even though we don't have much of an insight of his vampire life (getting one because LN ;) ) we can assume it must have been pretty bad with his drastic character change, what we do know is that he was used as a pet, probably watched countless deaths, fought his hunger for blood so he stayed somewhat human but even still, he stayed strong and powered on for one reason: Yuu, his bond to Yuu is both his strength and weakness. He is a character that requires a bit of thought since we know very little about him, but he's rather similar to Kaneki Ken (in a less tragic way) by being forced to become a monster, hate himself for it, have no choice but to succumb to it, and wanted to become stronger to help the people(person) he cares about. *sigh* depressing characters are always my favourites (and the slightly psychotic ones) |

| Shinoa, you never know what's she's going to say or do Guren's becoming one of my favorites as well Kind of disliked Mika ever since he became a vampire that's why getting through the last two episodes has been really cringeworthy and awkward for me |

| Crowley by far I really get attached to the character since his debut...(and later I realized that he is voiced by the same voice actor of Lavi from DGM which is one of my favorite characters) his childish attitude is hilarious plus he is strong and pretty skilled with the sword most than the other vampires.. until now at least And who else has two hot servants fighting for your blood?  threesome rulez!  |

| 1. Guren for me! He's pretty badass, cares for his men even if he doesn't always show it(though it's obvious enough anyway), and he's even playful at times. I like how he teases Yuu from time to time "I'm your master, savior, etc. Yuu!" or how he talk's back to Kureto "Sound's like a kid's dream.". His relationship to Yuu is of huge importance too - he not only saved him, he was also essential for him to continue living on. 2. Since I like the Yuu/Guren dynamic, my 2nd fav would be Yuu himself. Yea, he's a fairly generic shounen MC, with some alterations due to his punk attitude earlier on and more for family than Nakama powah. The show handles his character well enough that I never think to myself "Oh, this type of MC again...". Heck, look at the fight with Crowley, a lot of us expected a Yuu power-up to win the day but we saw how that went. 3. Mika's starting to grow on me now that he's shown he isn't unreasonable and can come to terms with the fact that Yuu's "family" is made out of his human comrades as well. He was always a fairly interesting character otherwise, though too little screen time nevertheless. 4. And Shinoa of course, mainly for the smug attitude. Though there wasn't much of that in S2 and it seems that without it, she doesn't stand out as much. |
| Probably Shinya. So far he's the only character I haven't had any problems with. Ferid is entertaining, I like Mika for reasons I don't fully understand, Yoichi has had some interesting moments, and Inoue Rika is delicious eye candy :9 |

If I could relate to any character in the series, it would be him. I also sometimes cry when he does ;.; he just has that impact on me .. He's too precious. I also like Shinoa. How could I dislike her? Cute, smug, short (I find that cute about her), and sassy. Voiced by one of my favorite Seiyuus. She would be my second favorite after Yuu. She's easily my favorite female in the series other than Mito and Shigure. I must say, she's pretty badass with her scythe. One of the reasons how I instantly came to like her. She makes the series enjoyable with her smug and teasing attitude. I really enjoy Shinoa scenes. What I like most is the way she teases Yuu and also how she cares for him. Sometimes I find it super adorable. Really nicely said. :> |

| For me it's Mikaela. He seems pretty smart and strong compared to most of the other characters, plus I just really like his overall character design which was one of the primary things that made me interested in the series. Guren is a close second though. |

| Im pretty sure if Asuramaru wouldnt be a trap "he" would be more popular :D after all he is the demon we see the most and he actually cares about Yuu. Krul because cuteness is justice. Shinoa because she is sassy. (And her VA is great) sadly in S2 she had less awesome momemts. And ofc mika, I want more background for him :/ but he is a character with potential. |

| I like Shinoa and Krul the most. It's interesting to note that Shinoa lost a lot of her smugness and sass in the 2nd season. A sign of character development, but I kind of missed her sass. :D |

| Even with some of his development and one of his best quotes from the manga skipped, Guren is still the best. I'll read his novels eventually. |
