| Just like Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199, it was first released as a series of movies, but it also has a listing for the transmission as a TV series: http://myanimelist.net/anime/12029/Uchuu_Senkan_Yamato_2199 And also, based on the Crunchyroll airing, it doesn't look like this wil be Crunchyroll-only, as the episodes have their own opening and ending, I don't think they would have made those only for international audiences. |

| It was advertised as a movie. It being labeled as an OVA would make more sense than it being labeled as a TV series, but even so, it's a movie regardless of how it's being distributed outside of Japan. |

In Japan it has never been advertised as movies, I haven't see 映画 (Eiga= Movie) anywhere. To me they are simply OVAs released in theaters, which is not odd in Japan. |

Theatrical adaptations of TV series are referred to as 劇場版 not 映画, that's why you would not have seen it advertised as such. |
| Rather then having a separate listing I think they should just change this one to OVA 4 episodes like for monogatari series. |
