Another intense duel

I am fairly impressed by Shinji's dueling skills tbh as he is able to pull off combos consecutively while using the full extent of his synchro monster abilities. The irony is that Yuya uses synchro summon of his own lol. Quite a neat comeback imo. Oh well at least Shinji tried D:. It's too bad he lost...

Great episode.

I've been waiting for this! Nice, Yuya! I love you even more! Now you've mastered multiple summoning methods like Reiji and Reira! It will be complete if you also able to master Ritual Summon! Keep going!

Although, after watching the preview of the next episode, I think I'm going to skip watching the beginning of episode 80 next week…(_ _lll)

if monster reborn sequence added DRXD OTK dramatic would be great like showing flashback with jack"self-satisfication" word and then after that yuya see a new light tuning magician would be more great.

Yuya finally obtains a Syncro monster! Was honestly thinking they were going to wait until the rematch with Jack for him to get a Syncro.

Enlightenment Paladin is ridiculously powerful, with its effect to regain a spell card, and inflict damage equal to the Atk of the monster it destroys... (Similar to Flame Wingman, but more devastating) What I don't like about the new Syncro is the shoulder blades being fans. It looks very awkward. Everything else about it, aesthetically looks great.

It's very clear that the Commons are not going to like that Yuya won. I hope the conflict between the Tops and Commons gets resolved eventually :(

Shinji totally deserved a brutal Dark Rebellion OTK (Yuya could revive Salutiger with Reborn), but Paladin was a total baddass. Yuya is now officially Reiji-tier in terms of Summoning methods.

Although Yuya's comeback was predictable, I got chills watching him synchro summon Enlightenment Paladin. Tuning Magician's effect is pretty situational though, with Gap Power. I wonder if Yuya is going to have more spells that capitalize on life point difference to utilize Tuning Magician/Enlightenment Paladin. Also seeing Jack smile was awesome.

Really nice duel, but I kinda find it hard to feel bad for Shinji though. I mean I understand he's gone through crap, but responding hatred with more hatred would just make things worse. I hated the whole damn city, and I feel like I’m gonna do it some more after the next episode.

It is my greatest hope that Academia burns the whole place to the ground. I mean Sergey or maybe Berserk Yuya would go way overboard and frighten everyone with their mercilessness and go all “Why are you scared?! This is what you want right?! Losers groveling at your feet and winners grinding their faces into the dirt! The strong triumph! The weak will be destroyed! If you can’t win, you might as well be dead!”

Yeah, I recently watched Superman vs The Elite, and it put that scene into my head. Anyway, that’s just me.

Well Yuya doesn't want a rebellion. I think he wants to change the way the City thinks and enlighten them.

Yup. Yuya wants to make people of the City realise that Duel is for fun, for everyone to enjoy it… Which is not easy and even became more difficult thanks to that stupid Roger's scheme… He needs to disappear. Or better yet, if the Academia invades, I wish he is turned into a card.

Sergey or Berserk Yuya may go way overboard, but I'm actually thinking if that happens, it might become a good medicine for the City and make them open their eyes. They were horrified, but they themselves actually are not so different from Sergey, so they don't have any right to actually criticise Sergey. Though if that happens, the possibility of Yuya's image became more ruined is high, so I hope it won't come to that...

Someone need to push a sense upon Yuya belief, his ideal to make a world where everyone smile is truly naive while he still retain such that thought his mental will broke more and more because reality is not so soft, like Jack said his duel just self-satisfaction its only pleasure his thought to make people smile with entertainment ignore people have a scar on their owns and pain and sadness cannot be erased with simple entertainment
his parent taught nothing except how to escape from reality

Too bad the first Synchro monster he summoned is not Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon. Enlightenment Paladin is such a badass card too, so it's fine.
Seeing Shinji got his ass kicked is pretty good feeling too. He's soooo annoying with his revolution and COMMONS stuff. He needs to shut up. Oh, and don't tell me Crow gonna do like this in his next duel too?

Also, is this the first duel Yuya didn't use Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon at all?

Well that was an awesome duel. Yuya really came true. I also found Shinji kind of annoying, I have heard his act before, I get it. And made Yuya the face of the Tops, and now the Commons who are the majority are going to think of Yuya of this guy that crushed their revolution. Thanks a lot Shinji.

We do get some more stuff with Jack, even though he had no lines, I can't wait to find out what Jack really is all about, he is a very mysterious character.

Next episode, what the hell is Sora going to do next?

To me, Paladin just felt kinda forced, especially when Dark Rebellion was a better option and outclasses him so far. I guess is understandable, since they wanted to promote Breakers of Shadow, also the whole Tuning Magician stuff would've been pointless had Yuya used Dark Rebellion instead. I think this could've been done better if Yuya had considered to summon Dark Rebellion, but then remembers Jack's words about his dueling being self-satisfaction only and decides to go with Paladin instead. It would also add to his development, showing he has grown up.

Unfortunately, at the beginning of the episode, Crow already thinks that that the only way to change the Tops-dominated society is through Shinji's way since Jack didn't do anything.

You got that right too. Yuya grew up in environment where Duelling is purely for fun and thus, never facing any hardship like the people of the City. He means well, but he has yet to find the right way to properly convey his belief and can only argue. He only said they are wrong because of his own belief and doesn't even think of trying to understand how they feel first. It's pointless to try to tell them what he think is right if he doesn't understand them first. If he tries to convey his belief without understanding them, it's more like forcing them to accept his belief.

Though the Commons did go through some hardships and shitty times in Chitii, they're not actually trying to change anything; like Roger stated this episode, they're all bark and no bite. Even after realizing that their precious Commons' King Jack wouldn't do anything to make their rights or image better, they still didn't try to change the society they hate so much. Besides, it's not like all the Commons live in the dirty slums, or do they? Was it never stated that if possibly some of them live in better living conditions?
Anyways, you're right. Unlike Shinji, Yuya's gotta convince the Commons about his beliefs and which are quite different for the Commons. For now it seems like he's conquered (or convinced) the hearts of the Tops, he's still gotta find a way for the Commons. While Shinji, who is a fellow Common, can be insantly related on by the other Commons.

now this episode was so epic. Everyone was making fun of Tuning Magician, but yuya made use of the card to its fullest and awaked his new synchro monster Enlightenment Paladin (pop out of nowhere in his deck) , thanks Tuning Magician.
if you listen to your cards feelings, they will always respond to you. ~ yuya and the other main characters.

Dang, kinda feel bad for Shinji. He worked up the crowed.
The tops should scout out Yuya for defending them.
