| Direction and music are both really good, but there is something awfully wrong going on with both pacing and scenario coherence. I do enjoy watching it for its fun value, but it's better not to think too much about what's happening onscreen. It just doesn't come together very well. |

| Knowing what happened in the game already, I thought what was gonna happen in the future was gonna happen to Renka. Kinda vague yea but I don't want to say too much. The hardest thing for me to take in is that Renka appears to have a backstory that might actually be relevant. In the game it was just create your character and nothing else as the main character IIRC. |

They really need to fix that in future GE game. |

| My god what an intense second half. I want to know more about that black aramgami and its relation to Alisa. Souma definitely being as asshole yet again. Surprised that our MC is still alive after that brutal beating he took. Sad there's no episode next week but the wait will be worth it imo. Nice little troll God Eater had this week, ending on the 18 min mark with a cliffhanger only to have the last 4 mins be about the past. |

| Mmm so no generic OP MC it seems.. his god eater got chopped into pieces, and they all got beaten up pretty badly. They seems to have recovered, animations wise, it was much better than last episode. Looking at the ending and how those cells evolved, could it be possible that Lenka might turn into some half human half weapon, or will he just get his god eater fixed... to be continued :P |
| Intense episode. Although I've seen it coming, that moment where he had "Burst Mode" was sort of interesting. Lenka most likely won't die but I'm just hoping for a slight chance. |

| Quite a cool episode although I would have liked more glitch cuts. So at this rate we are getting episodes in batches of 2 with a week break right? so that means this will be an almost 20 week series XD. |

Why does Souma go on special missions and Lindow now too? Is Lindow too OP to fight with everyone else in the opening or perhaps out on another special mission? Why do we only see the female scientist in the flashbacks? How come Alisa knew the name of the Black Varja Aragami that was unknown to everyone else? I think all those questions will unfold and make a wonderful story the further you get into it. I believe in UFOTABLE. As far as the episode goes, holy crap. That was truly unexpected. That Aragami seemed to be intelligent unlike the other we've seen so far. Would the outcome have been the same if Souma and Lindow were there? The anime finally reached a climax. Spot on. That's how God Eater really worked. When you play the game you won't have any idea what's going on until later. You'l have a vague feeling of it all, but mainly they just send you on missions then you chat with your teammates then more missions blahbalbha. Then you end up going "OOOOOOOOHHH SO THAT'S WHY ______________" yeah. |

| The fact that the black Vajra had so many chances to kill the main characters, but every time it had the opportunity to do so it just changed to a different prey was a bit ridiculous, especially because it kept massacring the random people who were simply running away. Even the scene where Kota is hesitating to shoot seemed very poorly thought out. Sakuya literally gave him an encouraging speech in the middle of the battle and the Vajra conveniently didn't do anything in the meantime. These kind of things prevented me from feeling fully invested in the tension of the situation. Still, I can't commend enough the ost in general and especially the soundtrack that played towards the end of the episode. Simply beautiful. |
