| Considering the pace at which things develop and the footage we have from both OPs and 1st ep... it`s not very likely that they`ll be able to wrap this one up in just 26 episodes... I hope it turns out to be just the first season. |

| It was never said that the first episode was the second-to-last. They could easily finish the whole thing in 26 episodes. |
| Actually, as the story stands at the moment, they should have no problem in ending it in 6 episodes. A second season is not required. As I see it, it would probably just hurt the show. |

I hope it turns out to be just the first season. The first episode was nothing of the sort, it was just a mashed together clip show. Lots of things happen in it out of chronological order. The Stronheim and Lorerai thing for one. Then It shows Dr Hell defeated at the start and Ankoku Daishogun rising - at the end Dr Hell is about to activate Bardos Island etc... I wouldn't take episode one as any sort of indicator what's going to happen in the last two episodes, considering half of the stuff has already happened and half of it is in the wrong order. |

| Episode 1 is mostly in order. The prologue, Schtroheim and Kedora stuff isn't, but the rest of it (the big battle in Atami) progresses pretty normally. I'm sure they'll extend the battle when it happens though. I'm going to guess that they'll finish all the first episode stuff (except the prologue) by episode 23-24. |

| Some things about this show are pretty confusing to me but overall pretty decent episode. |

| I must be too accustomed to the 70s TV Kabuto Kenzô because I can't make sense of what this Shin Kenzo is doing. And how is Tetsuya dead when we know he will be alive during the final battle? Also, prototype as strong as final version? I guess that Great is a monster, then. 4/5 The most annoying point of this series (I don't mind the rather limited animation, one can take it as an hommage) is that it relies entirely on its universe past, feeding us up with stacks of flashbacks until we're about to vomit. |
