| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The fantasy world fiction of the series is nice. Elephants, castles, etc. Dragon are still the most prominent creatures though. Decent intro episode with the main characters. I think elephants are their main way of travel though. And quite a nasty supernatural boar... Soirot Clasbari also shows slightly more about his past. My favorite part would be Chenfa though and the badass qualities she displayed in the episode. Not sure how I felt about Kagraba. It seems to be a mechanical character with a strange sense of knowledge. |

| Very atmospheric episode, definitely starting to feel like an adventure game. I was ABOUT to 3 episode rule drop this, but this ep turned out to be pretty good. Will bump up to a 6/10 rating. Also just noticed how beautiful the OST is. LOL at 3D elephants |

| I didn't pay as much attention this time, but at least no one died for the sake of edginess this time. A slight improvement, but this is still pretty crap. And, of course, the CGI hasn't improved: those elephants looked fucking terrible. EDIT: Why did Ibuki have to be the main character? He's incredibly annoying, and this series would probably be better off without him alive. |
| And the show seems to have settled into its paces giving quite a great episode. A lot of lore build up and setting explanations, with the whole journey/adventure vibe, as the team members start to get to know each other and the various ulterior motives behind the scenes are hinted at. 4/5 for the episode easily. |

| Lou slaughtering those 3 soldiers was probably the best part of this episode. Aside that, the true motives of Kouran and Donatia side are revealed. Eiha in action wasn't half bad either. Hopefully Ibuki won't have to sacrifice her too at some point.. >.> Better episode than the previous one. What grudge Gakusho might have on Undead Merchant though? |

| The first annoying thing for me was magnificent story in which friend of MC was so easily killed for nothing. Yeah, really nothing. Because according to story writers, soul of the most important friend/lover equal for once 5 minute power . Now i have second annoying thing - MC in generally. Really, what the hell with that behavior ? |

| Oh it's getting better. I already forgot her name, she's hot af though. Lou something wasn't it? I liked that scene where Lou and Ibuki were going over the wall and the roofs of the citizens. The music and animation were on point. Great episode. 4/5. |

| That's good. No one died to be offered as a sacrifice for the Red Dragon's power. But I'm sure this won't last for long.... x_x It's cute how Ibuki was carried like a princess by Lou as they scaled the tall walls. xD And that Undead Merchant has the same voice as Mr. Satan and old man Joseph Joestar. Cool! I know there's lots of buildup but still a slow episode. I like the character designs, though.. |

| Wait... now that's funny. Nasu's self-insert character is contracted to "black dragon"... and according to VA list, the black dragon is voiced by Nakata Jouji... which is the VA for many Type-Moon main villains, like Kotomine Kirei. Urobuchi's self-insert character's sword is voiced by Seki Tomokazu, i.e. Gilgamesh from Fate and Kougami from Psycho Pass. I am just waiting for the sword to shout "Mongrel!" Also it seems the "remaining characters" depiction seems to have 4 ways of showing characters: 1. Silhouette: Character has yet to join the group 2. Green: Ibuki's companions 3. Full Color: Ibuki's "friends" that the Red Dragon would potentially accept as sacrifices 4. Red: Dead/sacrificed |

That's what you get if you expect a "normal" anime out of an anime-fied table-top RPG session between multiple authors with very different writing styles. Though I must say 3 episodes of set-up is kind of annoying, but next EP, the fun will probably start, since with this episode the last "player" joined the party. |

Of course having "priest" in your username is already a signification of bad taste. |
