How can it be changed from an Anime series to a six part movie when they never announced what format Tri would be released in?

yeah coz a 4 cours series will downgrade their animation, also will be just stalling episodes, considering this is a sequel, not a new series

So 6 movies released over the course of 2-6 years instead of just a 12-24 episode anime? I know they want money but if we have to either learn Japanese or wait for it to come out to DVD and get subbed I feel like it's not going to do well. I already feel restless waiting for the Persona 3 movies.

Sometimes they do special overseas screenings. Like madmans reelanime is going to have boruto and attack on Titan and stuff. While it's still in cinemas.

This was changed to a movie!? And I was hype a second ago after watching the 2nd PV. Now I'm a bit disappointed.

why? the duration isn't even another 40-60 minutes like a standard digimon movie, but taking around 80 minutes, and it's just part 1
