That stuff with violinist fainting and getting checkups... I remember something like that in "Sundome". That shit broke my heart real bad, so I'm kinda reluctant to read this one to the end.

What do you think, will she shuffle off this mortal coil in the end?

Most likely. But the manga could turn into a "happy" ending where Kaori might survive the surgery, though (with some consequences like paralysis or so).

Although, I'd admit that an ending with Kaori living is a little... underwhelming and anti-climatic. Idk, if this possibility happens, I'll just hope that it's executed beautifully.

I'm starting to hate nearly all good romance dramas right now, they all require the acual interesting female to die.
I've loved every page of this story, I have currently placed this in my manga collection to get when it gets released in english in spring, but if she dies then I won't get it as that would be a piss poor ending to just kill her off.
Best idea for an ending is also quite realistic, Coma. At the end she doesn't need to wake up as he could play for her, showing that because of her he will play and when she wakes up he will make her smile at what she has done to him.

Although if it ends with a 'make your own ending' where we don't know if she survived or not, I will hate this author with a passion.
