Ikr, been wondering about that too. I used to think that they do adaptation based on the popularity of the original source but then.. I guess many animes throughout years have already proved otherwise haha.

2 fav mangas that I thought should be adapted to anime were AnS and Akatsuki no Yona. Though it's like a hate/love thing, I really want them to be animated to see them moving etc and for them to be more well known, but I'm also terrified if they aren't well done and people hate on them >_< The later got adapted this season and I'm glad with it's anime so far and how well it's been accepted. There hasn't been any hint for AnS so far has it? :<

A lot of people worship Ao Haru Ride so I'm glad to see a fellow reader who thinks otherwise. I'm still following it and I can say that for a while now, I don't have any chars left that I like. Futaba keeps getting more annoying, Kou is so-so though more to the negative side for me, liked Touma quite a bit at first but his character took quite a turn and I pretty much don't have any hope left for him :/
